Japan is expensive if you are there only for vacations. If you live and work there then I don't think so that Japan is expensive. For example I could afford more (means healthier food, better apartment, leisure etc.) in Japan with minimum salary than what people can afford with minimum salary in my home country (Slovakia). So it all depends on what's your expectations, comfort, where you come from, etc….

According to average salary of the country cost of living is little higher in India. PS: currently 1INR = 1.7 Japanese Yen. Cost of living should be calculated by means of average salary not on cheap and costly goods.

Bhai 2.5 lakh yen is minimum wage, than in terms expense is not more than 1.5lakh as per your calculation for everything, still you are left with a lakh yen which can go to savings ,it's pretty good ,given the inflation there in japan

Correct . But the minimum wage changes from Tokyo to Osaka. Salary in Tokyo is nearly 1.5x the salary in Osaka so the minimum wage changes as well

Love your videos - I have always wanted to visit Japan but hamesha lagta tha ki it will be really expensive. Tbh, keeping aside the flight tickets from Italy, (where i stay) from your video it seems it’s not that expensive. I pay a lot more for basic things here in Italy. By the way there is something called Purchasing Power Parity. The true cost of any item will be correctly compared if you compare w.r.t the % of monthly income it eats up !! Else the fact is a mid- level employee earns more than 1.2million Yen/pm in Japan. In India its 60000 Rs/pm

Feeling proud to work in India 45lakhs Japanese Yen salary is equivalent to 10 lakh INR salary as per PPP factor. India se door jakar gareebi se rahne se achcha hai ghar ke najdeek mauj se jio. Door ke dhol suhane lagte hain but reality is too harsh and sacrificing.
