Namibia import alot of goods from the neighboring south Africa, ranging from food products, vehicles (need clarification), petroleum products, South African beverages, and horticultural products. As you've mentioned Namibia being expensive due to high VAT on the products in the market

Accommodation in general is expensive in Namibia(rent & lodging). Food is same price as in SA. Food is to me cheap.

Something is very wrong here. At 7:30 she buys a blouse for "five Namibian dollars" then posts a graphic saying that equals about $2.52 in (I guess) US money, but I must have missed the part where she said what the top amount on the graphics represented. Five Namibian dollars is roughly 35 pennies in US money or a third of a dollar but she posted $2.52 in the graphic. I'm lost. Same thing when she bought the ice cream .... the sign said 5 Namibian dollars for a cone but she said she paid considerably more and never said if that was for one cone or two as she bought one for her friend. I got nothing from this video, but thank you for the effort.

Aren't dried grapes, what we call raisins in America? Are they the same? i'd think that in an arid country, dried fruit would be more economical, since sun drying is free, and it preserves fruit without refrigeration. Raisins are inexpensive in America. I learned from you. Thank you.

What you call dried grapes, Americans call "raisins." Here, they're a very common ingredient sold in every supermarket, and are used in especially baked goods, and to sprinkle on top of hot and cold breakfast cereals. And children like them as a natural, sweet snack.

They looked more like dried red grapes, which are called flame raisins in America. Sultanas are bigger and lighter in color, and more expensive (in the U.S.). We add them to baked goods like banana bread and cinnamon bread, and they're given to children as a healthy, sweet snack.

To work in Namibia, you need a work authorization. You are actively working because you are getting paid by KZbin. You are not paying taxes, and is not honoring the laws of Namibia. It’s just a matter of time and immigration or police will take you in, just wait and watch.
