You did well! I just paid $19,500 for an '03. But it's 4x4 with only 41k miles, primo condition, garaged, grandpa-owned. I know I paid (overpaid) a lot, but when you're out looking at new trucks that are $70k with questionable reliability (US brands at least), $20 grand doesn't seem so bad. I'm 60 years old and it's a second vehicle for me, so it will likely be my last truck. I'm happy.

The 2v 4.6 and 5.4 are pretty bulletproof. There’s a reason (at least the 4.6) was in production for as long as it was. Panther body’s had them too and other then a couple minor things, they’re solid. Love the look of the 10th gen

Just bought a 97 F150 Lariat 5.4 for $5,000 here in SC. Guy was asking $6800. The market is crazy but I really needed the truck. Interior is perfect, exterior about the same condition as yours & runs like a champ. After driving it for the last month, I’m not even mad about the price anymore…

I have a 10th gen f150 2wd that I'm basically rebuilding. New skins all the way around and will just need a paint job. I'm hoping to lift it for fairly cheap and maybe put some more aggressive wheels on it. These videos on Larry have given me some ideas for my own truck now. Keep it up!

Larry is honestly sick. I would love to buy one like it to have as a second vehicle. My dad had a 2003 with 4.6 and drove it to 180k and it when he sold it the truck ran perfect and didn’t have a scratch or ding on the truck. It literally looked like it just came of the show room floor. I wish he had kept it and handed it down to me as my first vehicle 😂

My dad’s truck is my first vehicle. It’s unfortunate that he sold it but it must’ve been a great truck for sure. My dad’s letting my be responsible for our 02 F150 Supercrew FX4 with the 5.4. Only 117000 miles! It’s been a good truck and has never left us stranded.

Mine has 345k miles, I love mine, people give me crap about buying it and I’m like what other truck has lasted this long with the same motor and trans and has had no large break downs. And has been a farm and coyote truck for the last 200k miles with the previous owner, which is known to be very hard on vehicles

Paid $5,600 for my 2001 Lariat 4×4 last year. It was about 210,000 miles and very clean for its age. Last I checked Facebook Marketplace (where I found my truck), the prices on 10th gens haven't seemed to increase too much, but as mentioned in the video, folks either love or hate the 10th gens.

I bought a 97' f250 about the same shape except for a very nice interior and a very nice diamond plate bed cover with a fifth wheel hitch set up. They advertised it for $8,000.00. I offered $4,000.00 and settled for $5,000.00. Spent about $1200.00 on oil filter change with a K&n filter. New exhaust pipes heat sensor and new disc and rotors. It had good tires but I want different tires. Also new head and tail lights update and update dash lights. So far I am happy but my brother and wife think I'm crazy.

The 97 trucks have a silver tint on the back windows from the factory, tint makes it look like a mirror. People go out of their way to swap to the black windows but I like the look.

I got a 97 Ford F150 XL 4x4, 4.6L. I've owned a 08 F150 XL 2wd wreck it and owned a 01 Dodge Dakota 2wd, I thought I loved the Dakota but my 97 I truly love and really don't want to get rid of it, transmission is eh, getting a small backfire in the engine, and a small ticking noise when it's cold. 97 is truly my favorite and planning to hopefully keep it and make it a project truck when I get a newer (to me) truck to be reliable to drive to work and college

i have a 2000 f150 that I bought in august 2020 as my first vehicle. Bought it for 4k. single cab regular bed, 4x4, 4.6 v8, manual windows and locks and vinyl floors. I put clears in my truck and got the manifolds fixed and the brakes and tint done but nothing really much else. I'm between keeping the chrome and the wheels that are on it and just getting MT tires or if i should black out the chrome and color match with black wheels and tires. I like booth looks, really i want king ranch wheels and mud tires for my truck

I just paid $3,500 for a '99 F-150 basic (manual everything, auto transmission, V-6 in good shape). I was pretty pleased. Should be a pretty solid daily driver and trash hauler. I haven't named mine yet. I need to get to know it first. My first mods will be rear tires and swapping the tail lights while trying to decide what I want to paint up front when I repaint the hood and roof.

Ive got long tubes and straight piped into one tip. After market headlights, fog lights, and tail light assemblies. And all LED lighting. Bull bar in the front with light bar and pods. And flush mount pods in the bumper. Ive put alot of money into it. But its mostly been modifying it. I wanted true dual straights. I love the Lariats but I always hate how those leather seats would age. If you haven’t already (in 2024), it’d be cool if you added seats that matched your trim on the dash or the King Ranch seats are also cool to have in a truck. Yes you’d lose the middle seat and rear middle seat if those get replaced with ones from a KR but you at least get more storage space. I have the bucket center storage counsel in my front seat and I love it a lot, it has the storage space I never would’ve thought of using or even needing😅

I've seen 10th gens like mine going for anywhere between 5000 and 9000 in my area. Also seen OBS 7.3L like my other truck I have going for 15000 to 25000 lol. But mines ugly as heck and needs some work I got it for 2500 I think.
