Hi guys, I did a cruise on the mediterranian on the Costa Toscana last November.I have pro's and cons. The ship is awesome! My seaview cabin was beautiful. The food was great and indeed the portions were not that big but I could have 2 starters and 2 desserts when I wanted. There were many bars and drinks were great.So far everything was great. But one big disappointment is that they nothing and I mean nothing for solo cruisers. On such a big ship I felt lost for 3 days. Luckily I met some solo travelling ladies on a excursion and things got better. What was very annoying is that I did have to pay gratuities everyday and they were not in the all inclusive package. And it was nowhere on my contract to be found. Something almost every cruiser was complaining about were the theatres. There are small and views are blocked by pilars. I don't know if I will cruise with them as a solo but I think when with a companian it will be a complete other experience. Have a great weekend!

Costa we love. Going this year in may with Costa again and we do HAL in december. Two diff cruiselines. Let the North Americans stay with RCL etcetera. The food on Costa is one of the best comparing with the main stream cruiselines. Ppl complaining not everything in English? Not true . Doh, we are Dutch. Nothing in Dutch. Adept we do. Thank you for your review. As an American traveling with Costa for the first time, im disappointed there still isn't an app available to us. This will be my first trip to Europe, definitely a dream come true scenario. My husband and I set sail from Marseille on June 16th on the Costa Toscana. There isnt much advice for Americans or travel videos from Americans about this cruiseline. Did you take a train to Rome from Citivecchia port? Did you do any of the excursions? All the best 🌻

Thank you 😊 dress code is quite relaxed on board a jacket is nice but not mandatory. You will need pants and shirt or polo for dinner that is it

Costa is omwend by an American Cruise Line. I am Dutch and learned obligatory French, German and English. We Duch have to do that because only 20 million speaker our language. In 2019 we made a World cruise of 124 days on the Costa Luminosa Nothing wrong with Costa.

Well , about the food in Italy , it's not 'first' and 'second' course, it's entrée/ PASTAS/ main course and dessert...Always pastas between l'entrée and the main course. And the portions are of regular size. It's because in USA they are wayyyy too big! Everywhere else in the world, people eat normal size portions😒That's why there are so many obese ppl there.

how did you find the service at the Bellavista this year compared with last year? Personally, I was disappointed with the service when we repositioned from Savona to Dubai. And I can confirm that Costa has the best value for money in the industry and one of the best loyalty clubs.

Service at Bellavista was phenomenal the restaurant at the first seating was always almost empty for some strange reason.
