Yes, we were looking at prices in Conil de la Frontera and they are similar to costa del sol. There are still pockets of costa de la luz where you can get great bargains.

I am from Gippsland region, Australia. The vast beaches, and relaxed way of living are very similar.

Os recomiendo una visita guiada (en coche o furgoneta, según la opción) al Parque Nacional Doñana. Además de conocer Doñana, podéis hacer un vídeo interesante. También El Rocío es muy pintoresco, aunque os pilla más lejos xq tenéis q bordear Doñana. ¡Felicidades por los interesantes y animados vídeos!

Thanks mate! There are definitely pockets of expats in these towns but nothing like costa del sol or Valencia/Alicante. “El Puerto Santa Maria(video out next week)” has a decent expat community as many foreigners working in surrounding areas like Jerez, prefer to live there. You can get some great bargains in costa del la luz but then, like in our case….. when you narrow it down to what you want, it costs more or less the same as costa del sol. Best thing to do is to check on idealista.es in each town and see if anything catches your eye.

It's beautiful too but the water at the beaches is much colder not like the Mediterranen Sea. This area is on the Atlantic Sea so there is a difference. It's also very crowded and hot in July and August.

Ah yes….. that’s very important information we missed, thank you. Having said that, its not much different to water temperatures in costa del sol, in fact sometimes we have noticed that Cadiz has warmer waters due to arrival of warm currents. But definitely much colder compared to Barcelona and Greece!

​@@thepakspan It's the wind and humidity. In the winter 8°C feels like 0. Summer in Chiclana has hit 42°C I agree the mariscos are super.
