Daniela Murillo, who recently graduated with a BA in art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art, and artist Adrian Arguedas talk to Athena's Abigail Spencer about Costa Rican art history, traditional indigenous creative practices, and the relationship of contemporary artists to the past of a country which has been called puente or a 'bridge' between cultures. Murillo and Arguedas are part of the Puente collective ('puente' meansing bridge in Spanish) whoseexhibition "This Must be Paradise" took place in London's Fitzrovia Gallery in October 2024.
