Just finished and personally for me the roof was a lot easier by putting the 2 big ones on first cause then they hold each other up and the other ones basically just slide in

Hi, we started around 11am, we took a long break about 2 hours because of lunch and I had to go pick up kids from school..by dark we almost finished around 5pm. We did have to do all the finishing trims and simple stuff the morning after. Wasn’t too bad

@@fdid0wrong478 it’s sold by Costco and I bought it and installed it myself. Just check with your local city to make sure you don’t need a permit or adhere to city requirements

Do you need to install the aluminum panels? I'm considering modifying the roof to incorporate a mesh/tarp over top so I can choose when to cover it up - for the extra hot days

I’m not sure if the metal roof panels that is attached to the roof framing strengthens the entire structure, but I do it helps to hold everything together. The roofs maybe weaken if there are no metal panels holding them together.

Hi, I didn’t. There is a bracket for each pillar with 2 bolt holes for you to add depending on what it sits on.

Was the roof edge plastic covering/tape difficult for you as well? Or did you not remove it?

Removing the plastic covering was the hardest part of the install. Lol 😃

Great video! Thanks for sharing! About to do a 12 x 16 in a couple of weeks. How many hours did this take, and was it mostly just 2 people working on it, except when putting the roof panels up? I'm telling my buddy that it's a ONE day job! Two days might scare him away. : )

We started at 10am and it was 8pm when we put up the last roof panel. It was mostly a 2 men job. I took about 1.5hr to pick up kids from school in the middle of the day. If you could get your friend to help you to install to the point where all 4 roof panels are up, you can do the rest of the install by yourself. :) good luck I’m excited for you

@@don_wynn Thanks! I'm thinking I'll probably be able to PREPARE the poles and beams, along with getting the roof panels assembled prior to doing the MAIN construction of it. Didn't see if you attached it to your foundation. I assume you did.

@@P0LSKI we did not secure to foundation. We have strong winds but we do not have any hurricane/tornado winds here in California. I built one 4 years ago that is still standing over the years didn’t move an inch with all the winds we had. 😃

I built one 4 years ago and we had some very very strong winds at times but it never even moved an inch and it wasn’t bolted down. Still up and standing. 😃

I did this in one day its not as hard but you do need help with the roof

You'll need at least TWO ppl, and a long 2x4 to hold the middle of the roof up. My wide and I did it slightly different than the OP. We installed the two longer sides up first.

You can do it by yourself. Place you ladder in the middle of the frame. Put one long side panel up and lay it on the ladder. Do the same with the opposite side (not the panel next to it as they have done in the video) let the opposite side rest on top of the other...as you go up the ladder you push them both up and rest them against each other. I am a professional and have 12 years experience. While it may be simple and easy for me; this Strategy may be challenging for other. Once you have done it for the first time it will very easy

@@robertogarza4940 I paid $1100 including the mosquito net also anchoring it to the concrete. They provided the anchor’s screws Not bad Took them 2 days , it was worth every penny Not worth my time . I would’ve paid double that to have it installed. I didn’t care how much it Cost

I’m almost done with this but it took me several days and time on and off to get this done. I live where it’s hot and it’s been the hardest build so far. We did work to stain several coats on the wood but the build itself was miserable and nothing lined up properly.
