I bought my first Battery Tender 30 years ago it’s. 1.25 amp unit and it was $150 at the motorcycle dealer back then. I now also have 3 of the 4 amp units from Costco and got them for $30 each the end of last season there. My Challenger SRT 8 has been on a battery tender for its entire 9.5 year life, if it’s not being driven it’s plugged in and it only has 9000 miles in all those years and that original battery is still like day one. My motorcycles are also on a constant hook up as well. My local Costco now sells a 4 amp version and it’s in the mid $40’s. These are almost double the price if you buy direct from Deltran.

I bought this specific battery charger/maintainer at Costco and had it involved. About a year and a half later, I received a letter from Costco that it was unsafe for my vehicle and to return it to the store for a full refund. I bought another charger from Costco, the store installed it for me and I'm reasonably happy with it.

Thank you sir , I never know that this system was available ,thanks for the video ,I brought one Costco same unit , i want to use for my mustang GT ,during winter time I kept car garage , so i decided to get one one ,after near two hour I charging no more flashing light or fully charge light .AGM/FLOODED LIGHT WAS ON , STILL NEED TIME TO FULLY CHARGE LED LIGHT TO COME , please help me ,

Yes, it can be installed/connected in the vehicle while the battery tender is tending.

You can leave your battery hooked up, it will not harm it

I replaced battery on CIVIC 2015 with the kirkland brand last Feb. 2021, but I couldn't start the car last Nov. 2021. I replaced it with the kirkland again, went to a dealer shop to check, but no issue was found for alternator and battery. But it was dead again last Jan. 20 2022(extremely cold, under -25 C degree), so I made it work with Type S Jumper starter. And I got advice to recharge the battery with Battery Tender. I tried it after watched this video. I thought it will take more than 24 hours to be fully recharged, but it was switched to maintenance mode in 30 min. I am not sure how to resolve my issue. Do I need to replace the battery with AGM battery instead of regular one? Would anyone please advise me? Thanks a lot for your video!! Subscribed.

They make one that charges 12 and 24 volt batteries, that can be selected to charge LiPo batteries. It is rated at 5 amps and automatically will switch 2 1/2 amps when it is appropriate. It has a metal case is more robust. I bought mine for around 100 bucks, it is recommended 24 volt excavating equipment. I also have several of the Costco models too which I think is 4.5 amp. I got my 5 amp one off Amazon.
