For anyone stressing out over these prices not being "low enough," take a trip down memory lane with me when the first consumer OLEDs from LG debuted in 2013 at a 1080p resolution and a cost of $15,000! Now, that sticker shock didn't last forever. The very next year, in good ole 2014, we saw the entry level OLED price drop to a mere $5,300! Talk about savings! The bottom line is this: 2023 is the second really great year in a row to be an AV enthusiast. There's literally a great TV in each category (LED/miniLED; WRGB OLED; and QD-OLED), and the prices are more competitive than every, especially given the features! Buy what you can afford, and most of all...ENJOY it!

For sure I remember just a few years ago paying 2800 almost for my first OLED tv it was a 55” LG C7 so to see 55” LG OLED TVs for just under $1,000 is really impressive to me considering inflation since buying the c7 55”.

No big drops this year. I think they already had priced the TVs lower to begin with. Most years they jack them up and then there is a big drop in price this time of year. I personally would just wait to see what comes out next year at this point, unless you really NEED a tv right now. These TVs will be even cheaper then and you won't have fomo, if some great upgrade shows up next year.

No big "Wow" Deals... The 85in QN90C is $2799 for at least the 3rd year in a row. The X90L is the only Sony with much discount.

I'm in the market for an OLED TV. I'm considering the Samsung S90C and LG C3. What made you decide on the S90C over the C3?

@@OTJoose my last 3 tvs have been Samsung and I've wanted a OLED but up until last there were no OLEDs as bright as LED. I bought my Samsung Q90T QLED 3 years ago and it served me well. When Samsung came out with their OLEDs last year I knew it was time to upgrade but I never buy new tech the first year it releases. Fast forward to this year and and they released the S95C. I was interested but with the talk of the one connect box having signal dropouts I was hesitant. Then the S90C released with almost the same specs minus the one connect box and I started researching it. It had everything I wanted so I waited for a price drop. As for the LG C3 I just preferred the Samsung more due to familiarity and the quantum dot technology sold me. If I were to consider an LG instead I would have bought the G3.

9:07 the 65" S90c is $100 more at costco than it is at best buy right now? Maybe the difference is because of a warranty? Edit: actually, checking costco's webpage, it's 1599 right now. so it's cheaper now at costco than it will be in this ad.

Yeah it’s because Samsung matched LG C3 price this tends to happen every year with Samsung and LG. 1599 is likely the sticking price.

For the Sony X90L I would say yes, and no for the price drop diff becase if you got it on sale like I did, it was 1,099.99$. So it would be around 100$ difference. At least for me, and those that got it on sale.

Thanks for this video man. My 77 inch S90c vs 65 inch G3 Battle is coming down to the wire. Last year the 65 inch G2 got down to $1999 during the Holiday Season (either on Black Friday or right after in December for a few weeks). The 65 inch G3 has been priced $100 more than the 77 inch S90c more less since prices normalized. Definitely in a wait and see mode on my end. The 65 inch G2 last year went somewhere between $2299 and $2399 in Oct - Nov before dipping to $1999 on or after Black Friday. Just waiting to see how these trends turn out.

77 vs 65 should be an easy choice if you sit more than 6 feet away get 77 and don’t look back the G3 and S90C are very very comparable picture quality wise always go bigger when you can if tech is similar.

@@TechWithKG Gotcha, the largest televisions I’ve had so far have been 65 inches (I’ve got a CX now). So it’s kind of a stick with the norm or try something new. Seating wise I’m about 8-9 feet from my television. I figured I’d consider 77 since everyone’s been recommending larger sizes. I’ll be sure to post how it pans out. If you’re upsizing maybe. If you’re gaming though go with one of the QD OLED TVs they are visibly better than G3 in game mode.

@@TechWithKG Thank You for your reply. I already own a 77inch so no upsizing. My main concern with the QD-OLEDs are the lack of Dolby Vision with S95C and only 2 2,1 ports with A95L. I feel like every 2023 TV has annoying trade-offs which makes it quite difficult for me to pull the trigger.

There’s differences for sure Sony cleans things up better has more picture clarity especially with options but the S90C is no slouch they both use QD OLED, it’s a big price difference. For gaming as the main use case S90C is the best bang for your buck between $2000-5000 where those 2 sit, it’s hard to say not to get the S90C if you’re main use case is gaming unless money isn’t a big concern and you just want the best no matter what. The difference between the two isn’t a big margin for game mode. Sony is just a bit clearer. Both have pros and cons in game mode.
