I have cooked my turkey this way for many years and they always come out great. Applying the salt and herb mixture then letting sit in refrigerator for 24hrs will provide a well seasoned meat and crispy skin. Stuffing with apples will ensure a juicy turkey and will add extra flavour to the gravy. Thank you for watching🙏❤️

Prepare the turkey -dry the turkey rub down with real butter and under skin, salt and pepper stuff with onions, garlic and celery. Put in pan breast down cover with foil tight. Put in a 250 degree oven the night before around 10:00pm your turkey will be done around 7:00am. Use the onions, celery and garlic to make the gravy. Add a little amount of water.

May I ask where exactly on the turkey you inserted the probe thermometer? Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
@RealCookingInMyKitchenАй бұрын
I inserted into the thickest part of of the thigh not touching the bone then when temp reach’s 175F I check temp in different parts of turkey including cavity to ensure everything is at the 175F. Thanks for watching and have an enjoyable rest of your weekend!!

Nice way to cook a turkey, but I would miss the stuffing. I also like your cranberry sauce; I mix cranberries with some navel oranges and some sugar and blend until the consistency is to your liking. Thanks for the video
@RealCookingInMyKitchenАй бұрын
I always make my stuffing separate so it does not take all the moisture from turkey the apples will add moisture so this way will never have a dry turkey 🦃

Your turkey breast meat looks so tender and juicy! I would imagine you live near a Costco... I surely wish my small City would have one as I am not good at driving down Island. (Vancouver Island). I do have a turkey in my freezer right now that I plan to cook at Christmas, so I am interested to see how you cook yours. (I was thinking of trying Spatchcock this year) Usually I cover mine with maple bacon but my son doesn't want me to make it that way this year, so I am looking for alternatives. It's great to see you using fresh cranberries... so few people do that anymore. I have though.

Thank you so much for the comment🙏 I hope you enjoy your Christmas turkey, and maybe give the spatchcock method a try 🤗

Interesting idea to add apples. Our family are too addicted to my stuffing, but will definitely give that a try with some of large roasting chickens. A cranberry sauce recipe we use is to add a pint of fresh blueberries to the frozen cranberries and sub Limoncello for Grand Marnier.

I usually make stuffing in a separate pan but I know what you mean 😊 Apples will be good with chicken also 👍 That sounds like a great cranberry recipe will definitely try that. Thank you for watching and have a great week!!
