Jeff and I enjoyed watching your video. We can relate. We've got to replace the transmission. Always something! Stay safe guys.

Congrats on the new motor and batteries. We are having a similar season. Finally in Miami looking for a window. Not sure where you folks are now, but hopefully we will meet up in a few weeks!

Thanks, we’re really happy to have the dingy motor problems behind us. Sorry to hear you’re having troubles. We’re currently at Black Point settlement in the Exumas. Soon time for us to turn around and start the slow trip North 😀 We’re planning to cross back from Bimini so maybe we’ll see you then 👍

Jeff and I enjoyed watching your video.price how much more then in the us.....motor and batterys......?
@yard2yacht10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching 🙏 We paid less than we would have at home😀 The motor is a two stroke, you can’t buy one in the States so it’s apples to oranges but we got it for 2K. The same four stroke model at West Marine is about 3K. Same with the batteries. A similar model (8D 1440 CCA) at West Marine is about 1K. We got these for $620 each. We were surprised and ecstatic with the price 👍

If you own a boat you need to learn how to DIY everything, i just learned how to rebuild dingy motor carburators and it is so easy once you get past your fear of not knowing and of course you youtube any question and you get video and instructions on DIY anything, so no more expensive repair bills.😁

Absolutely agree. However, this motor had its carburetor cleaned multiple times and it was repaired twice. It was time to let it go 😂
