What she wants is gone and will never return. The sad thing is, she still doesn't get it. She will never understand. Is like Sher said, she killed so many innocent people all ready, what in the world is going to take for her to realize it's over. She's done. No one wants what she wants. When Sher said he would rather not have been born to her, it hurts. He never wanted all this. He just wanted to be respected like Sun.

After watching TLB and LLTG, I’ve just realised a pivotal difference in the final developments of the two love stories: ***SPOILER*** TLB: 1. Sun sacrifices himself to go on a suicide mission to rescue his father and Mu Jin without first telling Changge so she can remain safe in Changan. 2. Feels heartache for the fact that he is breaking his promise to her about being together forever but is resigned to his fate. 3. Changge goes on a suicide mission herself to rescue Sun once she finds out about his plan. 4. Sun is both relieved to see her and horrified that she has come on this suicide mission to rescue him. 5. They both make it out alive and face future hurdles together. 6. Changge not only does not resent Sun for breaking his promise and leaving her behind to go on his suicide mission but continues to love and support him. She understood why he did what he did and chastises him for not telling her first. 7. With their lives and love intact, they then focus on fighting for the greater good together. LLTG: 1. Ling Bu Yi sacrifices himself by going on a suicide mission to kill his uncle and avenge his father, family and entire clan. Doesn’t tell Shao Shang because he doesn’t want to implicate her and her family and for her to remain safe. 2. Feels heartache for the fact that he is breaking his promise to her to be together forever but is resigned to his fate. 3. Shao Shang goes on a suicide mission to rescue Ling Bu Yi despite not being able to fight. 4. Ling Bu Yi is horrified that Shao Shang sees his bloodbath and that she has put herself in danger by being there. 5. She and her family rescues him and they both somehow make it out alive (barely). 6. Shao Shang resents Ling Bu Yi for breaking his promise to her and punishes him severely for years to come. 7. It takes a miracle (him coming out of an explosion alive after saving her again) for her to forgive him. 8. She then proposes an illogical plan for them to split up so that he can rescue the Crown Prince and she can somehow save a town. He agrees. I loved how TLB even got to this point. The love story between Sun and Changge had a good foundation and it got stronger each time they meet. Their love was also very private and didn’t involve a lot of drama and public displays of affection. It showed the depth of their character and their affection for each other. A lot of unspoken words because they just understood each other well. The love story in LLTG from the very beginning involved a lot of public declarations and loud dramas involving many other people. A lot of words were said and yet throughout the drama the couple didn’t really understand each other. TLB is a masterpiece in itself even before it is compared to LLTG. The actors and actresses in both dramas played their roles very well. Leo Wu was spectacular in both. But the love story for LLTG definitely fell short for me 😢.

And as much as I'm crying at the heartbreaking moments that never seem to end,I just have to ask. Why was that executioner taking all the time in world to cut off A'sun's head? It was almost as if he didn't want to kill him and was waiting for the cavalry to arrive. And let's be honest here. We've got to admit that the person with the best heart throughout this whole movie is Sher Khan who really didn't deserve being used by his mother or his uncle getting between him and his best friend while he had been young and everyone endlessly comparing him to A'sun. But he still managed to keep his innocence and good heart❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
