Grimnir is the God of War and is part of the Disciples (a group of Primals associated with the 4 main elements, like Shiva, Europa, and Alexiel) who are Raids/a test for the player, rather than antagonists. He’s a powerful character, but also a Chuunibyou and soft boy, who is very popular and recently got a Character Song. In GBF he’s both a self sufficient tank and a support unit that buffs/gives Shield and Mirror Image, on top of dealing big damaging attacks. His VA voiced many popular characters like both Yugis from Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho, Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Makoto Naegi and Nagito Komaeda from the Danganronpa series. I expect Vaseraga and Zeta to get their Moon/anniversary alt, so they can match Eustace’s Moon/anniversary/Uncap. Everyone will likely get their Grand alts (if the new/DLC characters get alts, they’ll probably be Summer Anila, Helmet or Summer Siegfried, wedding/uncap Nier or idol/character song outfit, and Valentines Grimnir/Vergil Grimnir.) 8:30 - People are speculating that Shibuya is a hint for the DLC/Guest character, which would be Persona 5 (Persona 5 did have a collab in GBF.) Edited - Also, Grimnir’s the 28th and final character in the base roster, but we’ll have DLC, since we still don’t know the Guest character from the poll and characters like Beatrix and Sandalphon will still be incentives for the DLC (plus they can be given better mechanics/gameplay, since they’re DLC.)

Indeed, all 4 announced so far: Anila, Siegfried, Nier and Grimnir, are base characters for the game, and we can expect 6 new ones for the season pass (they are mentioned in the deluxe version)

Grimnir sounds like he might have some Rachel (Blazblue) like mechanics which would be badass. Nier straight up looks like shes playing Persona arena and I love it.

Grimmnir is very hammy and over the top, he's hilarious and hype. Very excited to use him. Nier sounds like Shadow Labrys on the other hand, very interesting.

Basically this game its made from zero so its like a new game not an upgrade but they spent almost all the budget for make sure that this game will worth the full price. There are more than an simple updates and remember that some season pack cost like a full game °°

No since this game its basically a new game, they cant just upgrade, they had to make the whole game from zero because there was no way to do. But this is more than an simple upgrade, with all these new contents it worth than other fighting games upgrade DLC pack lol

Super Hyped for the game as I had so much fun during the beta. Probably something personal to me but I'm so happy for the partner system. As I also took though it was like the navigator/commentators in persona Arena. For me it bring a personal touch with having your favorite character cheer you on or say things if you win or lose by your side basically. Especially a lot of my favorite characters in GranBlue Fantasy. Just adds a touch of personalization and enjoyment.
