I played it today. Man was the last boss of Makai difficult even at easy difficulty, it needed tons of attempts to beat Sariel. Nevertheless, I loved the story. Edit 1: I played the game at all modes and both routes. Crazy how Sariel lunatic took the fewest attempts of all modes 3-5 I can't remember. I couldn't 1cc the game even though I was so close to doing that with hell route normal mode (1 continue used).

Doesn't matter it it's humans or Makai residents." What sends me is how, when hearing this, Shinki replies "Are you making light of Makai?" Basically, she's completely un-phased by the genocide comment and instead gets offended by the notion that Makai would be as easy to genocide as the human realm.

That was way better than I expected it. Heck, to be honest, I didn't even like Señor Pelo's one that much and I enjoyed this one a lot more. Also appreciate some love being given to Touhou 1 instead of starting from Touhou 6 like always (even though Touhou 1 can go die in a pit of hellfire for all I care). That moment at the beginning where Reimu flings the Yin Yang Orb and it bounces straight into her face... yeah, that's the Touhou 1 experience...
