I love the aestetic and the tiny car and the garden vultures even tough I would be scared of them but that's still super cool Vultures are an endagered species over here

Very late, but you do have to re apply copper many times, i had a big big vineyard and my dad applied in late spring, many times in summer and in fall. The point is trying to get it to last as long as possible on the plant, so apply not before a rain, reapply if it rains and reapply if it does look fainted. Unfortunalely it's reality for us growing grapes at low altitudes

Don’t be ashamed about keeping contruction materials! Every self-respecting person in my dad’s family who knows how to drill has a Hoarding Garage with building materials. And disassembled furniture. Random flooring… And it’s quite handy. If my dad hadn’t kept the flooring I wouldn’t have had a sick wooden accent wall in my previous bedroom. It’s people who “definitely have an entire spare bed and some planks for that room makeover somewhere in there” who help financially struggling parents feel like they can give their kids things other parents can too. Anyways, forgot about vultures for a hot second. Always a surprise to remember those exist.

NO, YOU CAN'T arrange paperbacks backwards... or ANY BOOK, for that matter. THIS IS ONE TREND THAT NEEDS TO GO AWAY!

@@sketchbook1 it doesn’t bother me because I tend to have a few books I’m currently reading, and the rest stay stored. But if you need to reference them often it will be a problem.

@suburbanhomestead It’s the principle of the thing. Why on earth would you not display the book titles for any guest browsing your collection- or to remind you of what book or books you haven’t read in a while? I don’t mean to be a curmudgeon, but this is something that really, really bothers me. It’s like we’re thumbing our Postmodern noses at hundreds of years of history. It seems to be a symptom of the digital age, that people would even think about displaying (not storing!) books this way, when the spines are designed not only to strengthen the book cover, but also to give information on the book. And I apologize for just leaving a criticism. I love the fact that you turned that transitional space into a nice, contemplative library space.

@ I understand your frustration and see how impractical my choice is. Indeed I only do this as an aesthetic experience, because I seriously dislike the visual pollution modern printing techniques imparted to a collection of books. It’s part of the reason I try to source my books, the classics, from antique editions.
@sketchbook1

I love hearing your artistic and more academic style. Your take is original so you are supplying a needed genre of gardening videos. I love history and stories associated with the plants. I can feel your passion and artistry through your videos so thank you for giving everyone a view into your soul. It’s rare to find individuals such as yourself. Keep being true to you and your videos will continue to be a work of art. Thank you again.

One hack allmost no one know is that plants need sleeping time to produce things which are healthy for humans. If they have artificial light 24 hours then what you get is mostly sugar and this is not what we should eat if speaking of salat for example. I would keep it more natural. God knows what's best for his creation.

The last winter, I had broccoli and mustard leaves growing the entire winter! But it was a relatively "warmer" winter for zone 6b/7a. I had planted the broccoli in summer (the seeds were thrown for mustard at the end of the season I think). It was pretty good for a first try

Totally agree about the barrel ceiling, that would be amazing! I think I like what you've done with the shelf of knickknacks and paintings better than the library freize idea, particularly since the way you have it allows you to change it out very easily. Also, would love to see more of the interior of your home on the channel!
