Dear Lynne & JR, thank you for inviting us in again to see your beautiful cottage. How do you ever leave with that gorgeous view, inside or outside? Your cottage exudes warmth, joy, love. One of my favorite songs is Give Me The Simple Life. The 1st bridge of the song says: “A cottage small is all I’m after, not one that’s spacious and wide, a home that’s full of joy and laughter, and the one you love inside.” I believe it fits your cottage perfectly. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Hopefully one day I’ll find my cottage small!

I love all of it! Some of my favourite memories are of my husband and I working on our little cottage and I relived those again watching you and JR, so thank you for that. The rose wall hanging is a masterpiece and looks like it was made for that spot……..well, because it was!

Dear Lynne and JR, THank you for this video!!! You two inspire me to follow my dreams and to always keep dreaming. My husband and I are remodeling a 1907 farmhouse. We are in our 60s and I am loving that we are creating something that is so US! Things don't have to be perfect to be beautiful... a fact I always knew but is kinda hard for my husband, since he was a contractor! lol! Love the look of your home and your projects. As the servant to 4 cats, I feel I should warn you. I started with two strays and two more found me... a cataminium (sp) is in my future!

How fun and exciting! I can't wait to see everything when it is all done. I just love the coffee table that you did. So Pretty! The kitties seem so happy with all the nooks and crannies for them to hang out in and the area outside for them as well. PS: Question - Do you guys get bad ocean storms? I would love to see a video of that. Your cottage is amazing and I can see why you love it so much. No mortgage is awesome. We moved 2 years ago and downsized and our mortgage is below 500 a month. Best thing we ever did. Love & Blessings to you both!

I just love your cottage so much. I admire that you are making a beautiful home in a small space. It’s inspiring. We have a very small house and sometimes I get discouraged about the size, until I see the beauty you’ve created in your cottage on Lake Ontario. Your view is magnificent. How wonderful to be so close to the water and hear the waves. We inherited a house on a small lake in Ontario. We are thinking of moving there. I need to downsize our possessions. Did you have a lot to get rid of when you moved to the cottage? I’m the same age as you are and I feel it’s time to slow down and simplify my life. Moving from Ottawa our nations capital city to a very small town is a bit scary, but I think we need to try. I love your projects and seeing your home, and the Catio too. ❤

Just soo lovely !!! The corbels look as if they've always were there and I love how you always carefully with much thought plan how to lay your transfers down ,I'm soo nervous to use them out of their element if that even makes sense ,I haven't touch the botanical transfer yet and the one with the bird and oranges (forgot the name at the moment) bcs I want it to be perfect ,I do know I'm getting more at some point even though as I said I haven't used them yet 😁 ..... wonderful job you both did and always do !!!

I'm in love with the floral panel. However, Im a bit confused as you said to start with the larger at the back but it seems you actually put the larger to the front as you worked down.....just trying to figure it out before I give it a try as I dont want to ruin my beautiful transfers. TIA

I always lay them out first to see where they should go. I try to do the biggest one first but sometimes I need to fill in with smaller ones. You cannot do it wrong, just play with them before you take off the backing.
