My favorite summer activity is having a stargazing bbq with my family. My area is considered a Dark Sky Zone - no light pollution or smog. We have a kind of large circular grill and low seats to sit around it, allowing family to add meats and vegetables to grill to their liking. We'll eat, take turns with a telescope, and just admire the Milky Way. We do this several times in the summer and try to time them with sky events, like super moons or meteor showers.

One of my favorite ways to enjoy summer is , when I wake up in the morning, open the back door and listen to all of the sounds, birds, bees, the wind or rain. Then stand outside with my morning coffee and feel the sun on my face! Thanks for a lovely video! 🥰

Some of my favorite summertime things are fresh fruit, lemon-cucumber water, ice cream/coffee, picnics, hikes in the woods, watching for lightening bugs and bats in the evenings. We see many different birds and I furry critters. I haven’t been to the shore I a few years, but I love the smell and sound of the ocean. Looking forward to summer. 💕

I have had a hard time liking summer in the past, but this year, I am actually looking forward to it and embracing what I love about it. Fireflies twinkling at twilight, deer growing their velvet antlers, and seeing newborn fawns in late August are some of my favorites. I look forward to new wildflowers blooming each month, hearing the Chuck Will's Widow Bird's trill at night, and the singing frogs and crickets...not to mention summer thunderstorms! Oh, and the moths and butterflies are so magical, along with the bats! There are so many things to love about each season . Nature is just so beautiful! 🦋🪷🐚🌿🐞⛈📚🦌🌕✨

Me too. I love that sound. I record my own sound machine sounds, about 3-5 minutes of it with my phone. I play it on a loop all night while I'm sleeping. I recorded a thunder storm, a morning bird songs, crickets, frogs. I sleep so good listening to any of those sounds and it is from my own yard. It's soooo calming and relaxing to me. I can't sleep well without it now.

I also try to embrace the beauty of each season. Great list. I like the sweet smell of honeysuckle on a warm summer night, driving at night with the windows down listening to the southern sernade of frogs crickets etc, night picnics with candles pillow quilt to lay and watch the clouds sunset fireflies and stargaze, fall asleep in a hammock, wearing floral dresses, straw hats and wicker purse, eat outside every chance I get. If it's cool in the evening, I like to sit out by a small fire and just listen to the crackle of the burning wood. Occasionally, a Common Nighthawk will fly over, making its call, or a bat or two can just be seen flying around my yard. As long as I can control the mosquitos, it's a pretty relaxing time!

Thank you for so many lovely Summer suggestions. We have a vintage airstream motorhome and are taking a road trip soon. Will pack plenty of picnic treats and meals. We live near a lot of creeks; the sound of moving water is so relaxing. I love reading seasonal books. A favorite Spring read is Enchanted April. Book or movie is wonderful. I love this list and that you go through it all. Nurture with Nature is my favorite. I really enjoyed your gorgeous video and the time you spent on it recording it. I LOVE LOVE water. I totally want to go to the ocean this year, since I didn't last year while I was pregnant. We go to the lake all summer long! I want to have a picnic so badly. I really need to work out doing one and inviting people to join me and bring little things for it. I don't really know where I can frolic in flowers. :( I love critters! I need to daydream more so thanks for the reminder. I think nighttime campfires with smores is a fun activity in the summer. I used to go camping every single summer and loved it!

I love going to the town of Kimmswick in my local state of Missouri. They have a strawberry festival. It's a lot of fun. We shop and always stop at The Blue Owl to eat strawberry cheesecake. Water play in June and July are best at Clearwater Lake. We rent a pontoon boat and cruise. Sometimes we go to Johnston Shut-ins and play in the water and climb the rocks and we always stop at the Mercantile store in Caledonia. They have the best homemade, hand dipped ice cream. The mint chocolate chip and banana pudding are my favorite. My son loves traditional vanilla. I garden. And love watching the birds and squirrels and chipmunks play in the yard. Usually I also include yardsales as well. All summer long. Actually starting in spring. My favorite Friday and Saturday activity. You just never know what you'll find. Plus I enjoy the ride. I hope you both have a wonderful summer season! Luv your content. 🙏🌈☀️🐦🫶

Lovely video, Lindsay and Jonas. 🥰 I love incorporating some of the activities on your Summer Bucket List into my summer plans. I'm just starting to think about what I want to do this summer. One activity I'm planning at the beginning of June is a tea party with my sister, who will be visiting from Atlanta, and our mom. My mom was diagnosed with dementia in September, and it is not easy to find activities to engage her in. I recently attended my first tea party, and when I showed her a picture from the event, she got excited and seem interested in having our own. Your seasonal bucket lists are delightful and are a real inspiration for making time to enjoy the seasons.

The ticks are the worst part of summer, we always have to be careful to check ourselves when coming back inside, and also spray our shoes with a certain spray etc. We are so sad to hear that you contracted it last summer, hope you feel better!
