For some of us kids in the 1970s, the only entertainment was radio, and listening to such greats as CCR. We would tape their songs, and listen to them over and over again. It wasn't a time of plenty, but we were none the worse for it. The Seventies were special.

Before social media we didn't have the benefit of people influencing others with their misery. Because of this, it might not ever be the same as it was before we got so "smart". But music is the best time traveling device we have available to us. So, enjoy friend.

This just randomly popped up while listening to my local radio. I'm not a "farm" or "ranch" person. I always grew up in a city. I was born after 2000. I generally don't like country music. I'm not even american, nor have visited a place similar to the one describe in this song. And yet, somehow, this song makes me feel at home

@@MassimilianoSpano Yes, you could say the United States Government expropriated my land. My older brother and I had a profitable farming business. We expanded our operation without getting prior consent from a low level government employee. The employee foreclosed on our farm loans in retaliation and drove both of us off our lands. Today, 42 years later, I am still very mad at what my government can do to farmers. I am 77 years old now. Thank you for your concern, it helps me live.

While we were at my Aunt & Uncle's house in Virginia, My uncle found this song and played it. My Aunt & Uncle started dancing with my cousins and we all cheered them!!! Then my mother said, " You haven't seen anything yet"!!!! Then my mother, My Aunt Rose, My sisters Eva, Nancy, Caroline, and me got up and just ripped the patio up!!!! My girlfriend Debbie FREAKED OUT!!!! we got done and we all hugged and kissed my girlfriend Debbie!!! My mother was crying and held all of us!!! She Said, " These kids were Children when they first heard this"!!! My Aunt Rose replied, " These kids NEVER lost their touch"!!!! I told Debbie, " honey!!! Eva and I used to just have so much fun dancing to this and we taught Caroline and Nancy how to dance to this as well!!!!

I remember being at an important exam back in 1970. I was nervous and this wasn`t helped by the fact that I was suffering a complete blank. Suddenly this song sprang into my mind. I started to relax and this lead to me to remembering the necessary info to get through the exam. Since then I´ve been a strong fan.

A tutti coloro che hanno passato una certa età, un tempo spensierato con i brani dei CCR torniamo indietro quando ballavamo con la ragazza del momento che per alcuni è diventata la madre dei propri figli

My favorite version of this song. When I was 4 yrs. old I helped my Grandfather pick cotton by hand, not a machine. That was in the early '60's. Wouldn't take all the money in the world for that experience and would do it again just to spend time with my Grandfather, as you can tell I loved my Grandfather very, very much. He was my best friend. There will never be another friend like that in my life.

Huddie Ledbetter was my idol when i was young, carl perkins too but huddy was a blues man who sometimes plays folks and country. That's why I love him.....John Fogerty

The blessing from Above that is Music is that the world around could be crashing down, but with a cherished song, there may be tears in the eyes, yet a smile on the face. 😂. Miss ya Mom.
