On primed canvas, never use more than 30 % water with acrylic paints! On unprimed canvases you can add as much as you like.

THis is super cool !! I have a question. So when I tried to mix sennelier acrylic paint with water and I used a brush to try and throw the lines but weirdly the lines didn’t really come through and all it did was put splotches of dots all over my canvas I’m really confused as to what I did wrong :(

Probably too thick. I usually use gloss enamel not acrylic

I have always heard that you can’t thin acrylic paint with just water, paint will crack. There are so many things on the market to thin the paint. Also alternate colors, painting is way too full.

Did the paint actually stick and stay the same on the linen? You don’t show it dried.

Yeah, it’s a smaller stirring stick. But I’ve also used the back of paint brushes.

With you I see a tendency to overdo it. Instead of using up the paint in your cups, you might want to ask a friend or your wife to take the cups out of your hands before the painting gets ruined. Less is often more. Just my opinion ;-).
