Cougar Motor 9012 LED Bulb 6 Month Review

Hi Guys!
6 Months ago I recorded a video unboxing and installing my first set of LED headlights ever. I forgot to download the footage from my phone to my computer and actually make the video. 6 Months later, I was reminded of the footage when my drivers side LED died. So this is the combination of the footage recorded April 2nd 2023 and now. It's not normal for me to provide a complete full circle video in one shot, but here it is.
Overall, for a $39 set of LED 9012 headlight bulbs, I could defiantly do worse. My 2018 Toyota Rav4 is a headlight eater. With the daytime running lights, the headlights are running over 2 hours a day 5 days a week commuting, not to mention the 8+ hours each day on the weekend when we go on day trips. Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs I normal use run $35 each and up depending on where I buy them. Typically they only lasted 6 months, so these LED's only lasting 6 months was no real surprise to me. I was hoping for longer, but price wise, I'm not upset.
With all that said, I am going to try another brand LED so see if I can get a better bulb in the same price range.

I recently gave a 4 star review on these bulbs on Amazon and posted about the failure. After scheduling this video's release, the seller reached out and offered to send a replacement set. I do appreciate it, but nowhere in the listing does it mention a warranty beyond the 30-day return policy. So I will not be taking them up on this offer. This was my personal experience with Cougar Motor headlights. As I said both in my Amazon review and in this video, I'm not upset. This car has daytime running lights and burns thru headlights. When I started commuting to work, the average life span of any bulb had been 6 months. I'm still happy with the length of service I received from these LED's given the price. Since posting this video, I have replaced this set with another brand LED that falls in the same price range. I'll upload a video soon about them. Thank you for watching.

if drivers side is going out with this brand and the other every 6mo or so like you mentioned in the video, it might be more of an issue than just the bulb. They should last for years. I've put LED conversion bulbs in an old Chevy and they are still going after 3 years. I've also replaced with Sylvania bulbs that lasted for years too. Just odd for both brands to start to fail around the same length of time for you.
