Could buying a phone be cheaper than buying a battery?

It's shocking to think that pretty soon it might be more cost effective to go out and buy an already made piece of tech just to salvage a few parts from it instead of buying the parts from a shop. Well, that's what we looked at in the video, the results are that its almost the same cost but ultimately is irresponsible to do so as its extremely wasteful.

I've actually done a video already where I kind of used a phone as a GSM module. It has none of the cool features of a real gsm modules but with an Arduino can be used for basic communication

Here is a neat trick: submerge the smd part in solder(if the part is small enough,all the pads should be heated by the solder but this cloud damage the part if not careful.Also pretty nice video,I enjoyed it
