By far one of the best ideas for RPi laptop. Small, minimalistic, cute. I will concider use some of your ideas to make in future similar one - I want to have ridiculously small machine for writing :3 I wonder if it is possible to make such modifications to that wireless keyboard to make it wire-powered again - I hate seeing those useless wireless dongles inside of custom tiny laptops xD They are not necessary there anymore 😅

Thanks for making this video, I’m trying to make a raspberry pi laptop myself but I don’t have a a 3D printer and I am finding it difficult to find essential parts (screen, power bank, keyboard). I am using a raspberry pi 3B+ which unfortunately needs at least 2.5 amps to work and without spending more money then I have and they only have 3800mah so I find it really difficult to magic one up that is good enough for my pi I have loads of 18650 batteries but the highest amp power bank module I can find is 2.1 amps so it’s getting super difficult then I thought it would be and this video has gave me some more ideas so thanks🙂🙂

I would love to start producing something like this. The issue is in its current state the work required to build one would make it extremely expensive. If quite a few people were interested it would be worth revisiting via a kickstarter but just making one or two would take a lot of time and cost a lot for the buyer.

By the way, there is BT protocol, so no need to use wires for keyboard connection, so you can creats universal tablet with possibility to connect any BT/wifi keyboard.

Pi and arduino then if + android? If the operating system run on one, then split usage, maybe it can be very fast? Like ram to supply the programs can be chosen after opening program "ram from ..?" Like that, cool right? Means a program can create ram to go up and down, then means the uses not interrupted. But then this is just "maybe" i think, but it makes sense right? Means limiting a ram on a program so if that program lag(if too much), then doesn't ruin other program running(personal ram choice). Like someway this can be good(my imagination).

Very nice video, loved it! The case looks great, but I am not a fan of the switch on the bottom since it can't sit flush on thr table, but since this is so small, it will be mostly hand held. Some small rubber feet should solve the issue. Also, if someone does this project, he/she can hide the screws under the rubbrr feet or some stickers that match the color of the case And, yet agian, no internal speaker 😂

This is pretty nice, but hecc, you gave me weird ideas. Instead of a laptop-looking pi, a smartphone-looking pie. More or less. More like a PSP GO or one of those side sliding xperia game phones. The slide is for showing the keyboard, but it stays hidden away while not in use, considering the screen would be touchpad and I'd really use it more for games than anything if I ever got to the custom handheld stage. That said, I still need to make something that may be able to run Skyrim, so i'd probably need a latte panda alpha... and a job. T_T
