Interesting story, Jimmy. It seemed to me that he was trying to say that they went through Point Pleasant so they could go through the watergates but perhaps they actually went over the bridge that's involved in the original incident. He got a headache on the way to the area and it subsided when he left. This seems to be the most telling connection to a Mothman sighting as it's mentioned in several of the ones you've talked about around Point Pleasant in particular. Perhaps the headaches mean that Mothman is able to connect to these people. i.e., he knows they're looking for him! If that's so, then he may have tracked him down to see why. That neither was afraid of the other meant that all was well and Mothman wasn't in danger, although I do wonder if he still followed the guy afterwards to see why they connected! Our fellow may be a sensitive and not know it, especially if he has Native American blood in his family. I don't buy into the idea that Mothman is a harbinger of doom or death. He may sense if somebody is upset about a sick family member or friend and go see what's going on if he has a connection with that person. Horses are like that and they can communicate without sounds, so I can believe that other beings can do that. My horses ALWAYS knew when I was upset about something, so that is an angle I find plausible. Y'all take care now! May God bless you and yours. 😊

Hey thanks Nancy yeah I’ve heard the same thing about strange stuff like this and having Native American blood. Everyone I talk to has it around here that’s experience strange stuff. Myself included.

@SpookyAppalachia me too! I thought it was only on my mom's side and then discovered my dad's family has Cherokee ancestors too! Both sides hid it to keep from being put on a Reservation. They felt their ancestral land was more important. Hope you and yours have a great Thanksgiving! 🦃

My Appalachian ancestors that had the sight were Irish, too. But I find your theory very plausible. God bless, Sister!
