I see spooky, but I also sense a loving and heartwarming element. As if, yes, there is an unknown presence. But that presence had done nothing to harm the mother or her children. If anything, this spirit seemed to demonstrate real care for the children. Not saying I woukdn't keep a cross around my neck and a New Testament in my back pocket. But it woukdnt be the first I encountered.

My ex and i net in the air force and was trained tuff. Our childhood we both knew what the Call of The Wild was here in the midwest America. Farmland, trees only in the water runoff easements every few miles... But, when we travel to west Virginia from Ohio as a place to camp for our honeymoon. We got into the hills like my daddy trained me in the Ohio hollars ,as a youngin .. But we arrived at a 4 lane country road pitch dark feeling completely lost , spooked, and watched by some huge creature. We both felt it instantly and knew we had to go back the same road we just came from. The entire woods, and area was too quiet, too. We fought in strange lands, territories but nothing SHIFTS to such a different frequency. Especially the Watchers on a higher level of intuition is scary enough. He won't talk about it neither ..until now. I am... 40 yrs later

Man-O-man fellas, that place is like Chernobyl, the land and water is filled with poison even after 50 years, there is a fine line between brave and stupid...hahaha. I am surprised you didn't mention the curse of Chief Cornstalk that was murdered there in 1777 and put a curse on that area. Many people believe that the curse has caused terrible and horrific instances there, including that bridge collapse, in Dec. of 1967, and some say they saw the Mothman standing on the bridge just before it fell.
