I don't understand the last part of your comment. Just because they aren't making shooter games doesn't mean they don't care about PvZ. Remember PvZ was never even meant to be a shooter type game. They just tried it out and it was a hit.

It would be nice to even have a remastered game. For example we could have a “Plants vs Zombies Brains Edition”. This could be Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 1 with enhanced graphics and make the maps slightly modernised, but still keeping their oldish aesthetic look. I truly believe there will be one more type of instalment in the PvZ shooter.

I would love a GW3. I was just posting on the BfN forums earlier today as a few of us left there continue discussing the games. I don't use a subscription service, but we need a GW3 with decent support. A lot of us have everything unlocked in GW2 but a bunch of newer players don't and it's a shame there are no boss hunts or cats vs. dinos in the town hall, and now community challenges anymore, having all that in a GW3 that gives us more GW goodness but with some balancing and new variants and such, would be excellent.

@@BrightstoneGG it’s just hope. Pop cap recently put it up on steam , and the games are also on game pass. so I think they’re monitoring if people still play the games and how often. I do believe they are making GW 3 because I still get plenty of full lobbies everyday in GW 2. BFN was a flop but I think GW 3 would revive the series and possibly make it more popular than before. Just bring back what we all loved from the first 2 games. Add some balance changes, and new variants like the comment said. Some maps and maybe more ability options.. Ofc that’s just all I want .. they can always add their own secret new features and I’m more than positive the game would do exponentially better than BFN .. I love PVZ GW shooters

You know what - I think there are even more things going for a potential GW 3 at the moment. What are two other big gaming Trends at the moment? The Steam deck and Cloud streaming. If there is any multiplayer series that is well suited to these two platforms it would be Garden Warfare. The generous time to kill, bright colors for good visibility and abilities that don't require pinpoint precision would make it one of the only types of multiplayer shooter that I would consider playing via cloud streaming or on a small handheld like the steam deck. Also the game always has been set up for cosmetics to be sold unlike the more serious franchises like COD or Battlefield.

I think if they want to succesfully make Pvz GW3 they will need to go with the old designs or try combining Bfn character designs with Gw2 and they might even reduce the character variants at the start because of all the classes that will be available..... (more DLCs)

You all realize that they would have to remove Night Cap in GW3 because her attacks goes through enemies, so a Toxic Night Cap would be OP, I actually think they would actually update pvz bfn AND work on a GW3 at the same time, each one being different and fun. Remember Gravedigger was scrapped because PopCap couldn't create variants for him, so they should had him in PvZ BfN.

I would think that a GW3 would be a continuation from GW2 and essentially skip over bfn like nothing happened there. They could add in Nightcap, Acorn, etc… with variants. But no expectations on keeping bfn elements.

I wish that there would be a new PvZ 3 that would cost money to purchase but is then free from microtransactions unless they were to add DLCs. If the content of PvZ 2 were added into a similar format as PvZ 1 then the game would honestly be perfect. I'd love survival endless but with way more plants and options. I love GW2 and BfN a lot but this is the number 1 thing I want the most from the PvZ franchise, however I'm aware that it will likely never happen lol.

I have bought both gw1 and gw2 twice yes there both that good (one for xbox1 and ps3/4) Pvz is the most played game on gamepass Maybe probably idk rlly know but theres alot of new players in both garden warfares probably because of GP and EaP if microsoft could even pull off buying EA or Popcap then it would definitly revive the franchise We've seen what they did the Halo'a campaign I'm not even finished it and I think it's phonomenal (is that how you spell it? I genuinly don't know) and if they do make gw3 I hope they listed to fans like what they did for the halo multiplayer or even have new varients or gymucks made by the community even something simple like .making it so you get coins instead of xp if your playing a max character because JESUS CHRIST IT IS SO HARD TO GRIND NEARLY 500K FOR A HAT IM RUX

I've never had a good enough computer to run the shooter games until 2 months before BFN got discontinued, GW3 would be something I'd love to see and experience in the future... Hopefully that game will exist eventually.

Before buying Activision, Microsoft had $140bn in-cash available to them, so that the money that they could spend right now. After spending almost half of that, they still have another $70bn. EA is evaluated at roughly $40bn, so the deal could total for around $50bn, which still leaves Microsoft with sweet $20bn (Sony only has around $30bn rn). They have the money, they have a strong connection to EA, the only problem being is the government blocking that deal really. I really think that Microsoft can do a lot with PvZ and quietly wish this deal could happen.

@@frazoid8593 In theory yes, but those deals don't happen because companies like to set a ridiculously high price tag for a single IP because they simply can. Hence why it just makes more sense to buy out a company. Its pretty much like buying a $25 game bundle, with the game you want and a few other games that you may or may not like, instead of buying only that 1 game for $20.

For Garden warfare 3 they need to stick to the simplicity of the first one. No huge back yard with gnome quest. Just your classic modes. Keep the variants and add more. Plus keep the abilities that were balanced out in the cactus having mobility and long range short range options.

True for me: Started PVZ:GW after grabbing the $1 month of game pass on PC. I would have used the game pass for PVZ:BfN, but I am an Amazon Prime member, and right now, BfN is totally free to own for prime subscribers - so grabbed it through that. I like that more people seem to play BfN, but was really enjoying the style of Garden Warfare as well - for a 2014 title, it still holds it's own.

Popcap made the decision to make pvz 2 a mobile only, free to play (with ads and micro transactions) before EA bought the company, popcap made the decision to add micro transactions to there free to play games so I don’t think popcap will be in a better place it they got bought again
