Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon announced his office is looking into new evidence that could set the Menendez brothers free by Christmas. Lyle and Erik Menendez killed their parents with shotgun blasts in 1989. Prosecutors argued the motive was to inherit their family multi-million dollar estate. The brothers claim they committed the slayings to stop their father's sexual abuse. Inside Edition's Jim Moret spoke to Kitty Menendez's brother Milton Andersen.

@@EricaEarth they claimed their mother was sexually inappropriate with them. Erik and Lyle have different claims about the mom, from her exploring the boys gentiles to her having her son touch her in bed. There is a lot more but I'd suggest doing research into their claims as it is absolutely disgusting. (To add the sexual stuff with the mother WAS not considered by Lyle and Erik as abuse vs their claim of abuse when the father acted upon them)

also the mom was witness to the father's abuse and did nothing. Not saying they should have did what they have done or a good reason as to why. They should have called the cops or left.

Alright so let’s sentence them for 1 count of manslaughter and sentence them to 5 years for his father and to run concurrent on the 2nd charge life in prison without parole for the murder of the mother! That’s a good win for me.

If they were writing to their cousins about it then they were bound to have told their mother if she didn't know about this. She probably knew about it and refused to do anything about it, maybe out of fear of her husband doing something. Regardless it's highly likely that she knew if the brothers were sending letters to their cousins.

Both boys were over 18 years old. They could have left the "abusive" situation and started their own lives without their parent's money. It's someone about how they killed their parents which is unsettling. Do we want to let someone like them back into society?????
