@Katherine Rain that is not what I meant. Under the law maybe what the father did could be used against to reopen the case but what about the mother? She didn't abuse their kids physically, regardless of innocence she didn't do what the father did. But obviously I agree with what you are saying, but it doesn't justify their actions under the law then.

It enrages me how they hurried him to answer. If you’ve ever been abused you know the pain that comes when words like that coming out of your mouth it’s so painful. The vain pop, you can tell he has so much anger towards them. I feel for them. The confusion they lived, the shame. They themselves thinking they were gay because of what was done to them, the confusion, I can’t imagine.

It's traumatic for me to watch their testimonies, so I can't even imagine how it felt and how traumatising it was to live through all that horrible horrible tortuous part of their life... In addition to this, it makes me furious that they are still in jail. They were victims themselves. Yes, killing a human being is never OK, but to imprison 2 victimised men when they probably need very serious psychological support and treatment/therapy. That just proves that judicial system is broken, not working they way it should.... 🤦🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏿‍♀️

They kept this in for decades and to finally get a chance to say it out loud what they had experieced all those terrible years was extremely traumatic and emotional. I have no pity for the parents, the father was a monster and the mother an enabler, she admitted to one of the boys after an incident that had him in tears that she knew exactly what was going on, thats why she was not spared, she knew and did nothing!

Please, please, please link the proof of what your accusing. I've read comment after comment and the threads, yet not ONE person who alluded to any kind of proof that she had ANY knowledge or guilt whatsoever. In NO way am I trying to be rude or sarcastic. I am simply frustrated and stunned by so many eluding that their Mother was somehow at fault, like she deserved to be killed. IF there is links you could post backing up these claims then I will happily educate myself. However, without the evidence to back such HORRIFIC claims, are you truly okay with Victim Blaming? As I said before, I don't want to be rude, belittle, or become part of the problem of assuming....I simply am asking you to educate my obvious ignorance as to why these claims are acceptable.

They weren't 8, 9 or 11 y.o when they commited those crimes, they were around 18 and 21. They weren't poor, they had all the opportunities in terms of getting psychological/psychiatric help, in terms of getting a good lawyer to go against their father, in terms of seeking for professional help unlike poor people who depend on the public system (that you know it has never been good). They had higher education, so they both had more tools to find a way to take revenge legally. They decided to go the criminal way, they understood the criminality of their actions, they bought weapons two days prior to the killings, and during that time they didn't stop, but they continued pursuing their criminal act. Once they killed their parents they started to live a luxurious life, spending a lot of money in luxury items, showing no remorse at all... So, to me this goes beyond resentment, this was mostly criminal behavior and perhaps psychopath minds working together. It's heartbreaking to see them try to talk about S.A, but those sad expressions should be taken with a grain of salt, not forgetting their situations and privileges prior to the killings they decided to commit... Anyways, people can easily fall for a pretty face and an athletic body in tears, and this seem to be one of those cases. I think they both got what they deserved.

@@crxz___1938 I know, in other videos u can see she learns from that. I think if u watch the videos from the perspective of knowing she was his lawyer and was trying their best to help him. She had to get every detail clearly from them so the jury don’t say they’re being manipulative so she tended to ask quick questions so they don’t have time to lie or make up a memory but yeah that particular question I think she shouldve waited. But at learning they actually became close because she was really trying to help it made it less cringe for me

tbh I only know this case from a KZbinr who did a video about this and it’s amazing everyone should check it out it’s from the channel Stephanie Soo but at the end I’ve heard that once the parents died they faked the call and after that the started flexing with all the new money they got??.? I dont know if I got the information wrong or something because like I’ve heard that they were buying cars and trying to get girls?.??? Also can someone tell if they actually got abused or not but from what I’ve heard again I’m using that phrase lol they when the parents died they were on the couch doing something like maybe watching a movie so in the eyes of the court of law they currently weren’t harming them in self defense, if the parents were allegedly abusing he sons the exact time that they died I’m pretty sure it would considered as self defense but because the currently weren’t harming them it’s not consider self defense AND IM NOT SAYING THAT EVEN IF THE ALLEGED ALLEGATIONS OF ABUSE ARE TRUE IM SAYING ITS OKAY I’m just saying the information I know thank you for reading this.

Sexual child abuse is more common in all family demographics than anyone ever wants to admit. I have so many friends who have admitted to me that they were sexually abused as children or even teenagers, usually either by a family member or someone close to the family. And they've usually never told anyone in the family about what happened to them, but it still effects them to this day. And I can't blame them because I vividly remember a very good friend of mine in middle school finally telling another friend in our group that her father raped her, which was why she never wanted any of us to stay over at her house. She was always asking to come stay with any of us for the weekend and now I know why. Our friend then told her parents, and it all came out from there. My friend's parents were both arrested because her mom knew about it, and then she had to basically go into hiding because her father's family was claiming she was a liar and that her father would never do that to her and were literally threatening to come hurt her. A thirteen year old girl and their own family member. I saw all this happening myself so it's not something I was just told about. I feel for the Menendez brothers and anyone else who was abused so horrifically by people they should have been able to trust and never felt like they could tell anyone.

I agree; it is extremely common and every close relationship i've had they speak of childhood sexual abuse. My 3 longer term relationships with men each spoke of childhood sexual abuse. I am sure it's embarassing to mention and fear tactics are usually used to keep them quiet which is why it's not often reported. People acting like this is unusual is what's suprising.

when you look into Erik and Lyle's eyes, you don't see evil, you don't see hatred, and you don't see people who would kill their parents for money. you see victim, trauma, and a child at heart. Erik has PTSD, anxiety, and many more. Lyle used to have multiple stuffed animals. IN his 10th grade, he took a stuffed animal, and when he raised his hand, he used the stuffed animals hand. They asked for forgiveness in prison seeing a priest. Erik burst into tears asking "does god forgive me? does god forgive me? do my parents forgive me?". Erik and Lyle love their parents, with all their hearts. They said their father was a very powerful man, and their mother was an elegant woman. the abuse and the trauma they went through is so messed up, my heart just aches for them. they need justice. and they need it now. us menendez guardians already made it to New York Times, Fox11 news, and so many more things. we have and will be heard.

It's very easy to accuse dead people. And even if they were really abused, it was a clear premeditaded murder, and the law is the law, life in prison or the death penalty for first degree murder. Also, it's a very strange thing for alleged abused victims to do, they could've gotten out of home or called the police, after all, they were legal adults, but no, they chose to blow their parents brains out and blame it on the mafia. Oh, maybe it's because their mother threatened to take them out of the will for being the pricks they were lol I'm glad these sociopathic liars are rotting in jail, the world is a better place because of it.

The mom knew all along that her sons were being abused by her husband and she didn’t even care, she didn’t try to stop him or help they’re sons to at least mentally recover a little bit every time it happend, instead she would say that they were dumb, stupid, etc… So there is no right to say “the poor mother” because she didn’t do ANYTHING to help her own blood and flesh to escape from that monster neither physically or mentally.
