Human beings living in a high oxygen content Jurassic park type environment would be much taller.

If quetzalcoatlus was still around, would it pose a threat to humans? I believe the giant hunter would have gone after adults occasionally but relied mainly on infants and small children. What are your thoughts? Mike

It's hard to say since I feel people use swarms as a defense, if a perwon is attacked many times unlike a lot of other animals people will swarm to the attack and help. A quest although is large I'd also fragile and probably not fast on land. So maybe swooping and grab would work but if on the ground I'd say that quiet might be more careful in getting food.

My other thought is quet looks more like a crane long slender neck, long pointy head, most hunting birds that spend time on the ground have a heavy thick beak, shorter head and neck

I am personally 5’9 274lbs. The Quetzalcoatlus is around 350-450lbs, so I am pretty much more than half the size of the Quetzalcoatlus weight-wise. So a person my size, probably not.

They swallow their prey alot like storks and creatures of that nature. Those animals rarely kill what they eat. They just grab their prey in their mouths and lift their heads up and swallow what they have captured in their mouth. As big as these creatures are, would they eat humans? Of course they would and I think they would just grab anyone they can and lift their heads up high and let gravity do the rest. A human would slide right down its throat just like storks and other birds like that swallow fish today. As big as they are they would not be that choosy unless they learned to be by full grown humans fighting back. A child of course would be much less aggressive and an easy meal. In nature animals rarely risk injury taking down prey, most will look for the easier meal depending on how hungry they are. Just my thoughts on the subject.

I do not think a quetzalcoatlus would be able to swallow me, I am just outside the biggest size range of azhdarchid prey. That and I don’t fit in their stomach, I’d ground them for 3 weeks.

I think I'd be pretty safe personally just due to my size and stature, they had hallow bones I believe which would theoretically make them a bit more skittish and averse to fighting. I would presume. A grown man with a spear would likely be a significant threat, I could very much see them swooping after toddlers or preteens, maybe even som smaller teenagers. On cohabitation, I think we would have hunted them to extinction.

I'm not sure how wide the back of its throat was. Not sure if it could swallow an adult human. It could easily kill one with one strike of its beak. Children would definitely have been at risk. I agree we couldn't have coexisted. But if they were just hunting middle school children, maybe it wouldn't be so bad?? At least boys that age. LOL kidding of course.
