SC did not care much for the free and fare election. First and most the appointment of the election commissioners could have made null and void. Secondly the judgement regarding use of EVM was going along with the ruling party

The duo had their own way dealing with the election process. This is understood from the observation of their coercive methods of dealing, using the institutions of ED, IT, CBI, etc. The PM has proved, time and again, that he has no scruples to deciding on issues affecting the country as a whole. This time the decision of selection process adopted, doing s way with the presence of CJI as a member of the Committee for the selection and appointment of ECI, was risk foreseen for the democratic process itself. Not only the outcome of election is important, but also ensuring that the process of election is free and fair.is equally important. If the election process were free and fair, the result also would have been different. The days to come will show how fair and free were the 2024 Elections.
