This is the first video I've watched on this channel and am very surprised at how informative, in-depth, and helpful it was. I was iffy about this case but this video convinced me to pull the trigger and buy it. Subscribed.

very good review ! And interesting what you show at 7:02 : in the orignal dark base pro 900 (i have one next to me) you have 30mm in between the front panel and the HDD cages, so they not only added plastic cover they complitely redesigned this panel (and thanks a lot for using your RGB device in static color and not this raimbow effect that every one use when they build a pc --')

I also noticed the front panel clearance had changed, I've got a rev 1 just to my right as well.

Where could I put a hdd with a front rad if all the trays have to come out? Using a deepcastle 360mm ex

So 2 things... the case was designed to install the psu in the psu tray then slide the tray in and attach it with he screws on the side, not reach through the back of the case to screw the psu to the psu tray. Not a big deal but it is more difficult the way you did it. Second, the drive bay plate can be installed flipped over from how you have it to allow for a front radiator and still keep the drive bays accessible. Your statement that with a radiator installed it leaves the drive bays blocked is false. I just wanted to clear that up for your audience. Great vid though, very polished and professional!

Love that motherboard tray! Might be time to get one for my personal rig.

Isn’t the entire piece holding all the cable routing covers/hard rice mounts able to be flipped 180 degrees so you get more clearance for radiators while also being able to use the routing covers with a radiator. Idk if this config interferes with e-atx though.

I got this case as my first build because of the option for extra disk drive bays and two DVD drives and because you can easily take it off.

Nice build, on the original 900 Pro case you can fit 2 x 420 Rads and in push / pull config (minus one fan)

Would have been sweet if you could have been able to put the mobo in a 90degree mount

I have the 1st revision of the case and my setup is inverted as well. I’m purchasing the psu shroud separately as an add-on as I’m using cable extensions and would appreciate the space to clean up my cable management. I do have a question for anyone that’s in the know. I’m using the dark rock pro 4 cooler and I hope I don’t have a problem getting the shroud installed with that cooler in the inverted layout...? I guess I’ll see. I think Be Quiet! would would have engineered this shroud with the idea of replacing a psu while inverted with one of their own air coolers installed... Great job on the case Be Quiet! I’m loving it! I also love the build video and this review video! Very well done!

Hey - how exactly did you connect the 420 rad at the front with the pump? In other words, how did you get thoes tubes through the psu shroud?

I am seriously considering this case. I do have a few questions. Does it come in White? Can you get alternative coloured " trim " and finally is it possible to laser cut the door ie is it a solid Alloy door?

Did you Make holes for the Res/Pump tubing to go below into the PSU shroud? (I want to know because I'm building one myself and would like to try it your way)
@gpk134 жыл бұрын
PSA: Officially top clearance is 62mm according to manual, Arctic 420 is 65mm w/ fans, Asus TUF x570 PRO mobo has EATX power plugs way up top w/ retention clips at top (facing outwards for some reason) so SOL there too. If case had 5 more mm it probably would fit.

So you couldn't use any HDDs in this build? How small a front Radiator would you have to use to be able to use the bottom HDD mounting?
@studog8585856 жыл бұрын
PrivatePengu 240 or 280 will work fine
@Chingus6966 жыл бұрын
See my previous comment. If he would have mounted the hdd plate 180 degrees from how it is there would be more room for a radiator and still be able to use the hdd bays. The case was not assembled correctly for a front mounted radiator. See be quiet’s vid that explains it. This guy should have watched it...
@studog8585856 жыл бұрын
Still not enough room. You have to be running the slimmest radiator there is and where is the res going to go?

Can you perhaps link a partpicker for the whole pc. I see you've mentioned the connectors - but what specific radiators were you able to get in there? shop.bitspower.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=64_80 (BP-NLXF480-F4PB plus BP-NLXF360-F4PB perhaps?)

The difference between closed/open front panel and mounted/removed top is about 10 degrees. It has such bad airflow for watercooling. :(

Such a big case and still NO space for hdd`s if you are using a rad in front. Big no no in my opinion and that is said because the rest of the case is great.
@Chingus6966 жыл бұрын
Andres this isn’t quite correct. He could have turned the drive bay plate over and it leaves more room in the front for a radiator yet keeps the drive bays accessible. Not sure why it wasn’t done that way...

Shame for a very thoughtful colour, they forgot that orange is a big turn down, at least for me. If they don't wanna go RGB why don't go for all black, or maybe Grey and other neutral colour..
