Great analysis bro. As for BRICS dethroning the dollar, I don’t know. I think if these nations could agree on a currency that was not any of those countries currencies (Rubels, yuan, pesos, etc.), it would be a lot easier for them to agree. Just some random thoughts. 🤷‍♂️

When I was young (24) and first got married, we went across into Mexico because my in-laws lived in South Texas. I was amazed that we could spend the U.S. dollar as easily as the Mexican Peso. I didn't know anything about world currencies or anything like that. It was as if the dollar was the currency of Mexico and not the Peso. And that is true about the few Caribbean Islands 🏝 I've been to as well.

Oh definitely. This is true for Africa, Afghanistan, Iraq and many more. My military friends worked with individuals in CIA to deliver suitcases of dollars to warlords in Afghanistan. If the account of these deliveries were made known to the public, a lot of people would be pissed. What did Obama pay Iran during his reign? Gold and pallets of dollars.

The talking points you're mentioning are very common with some American investor types, the ones who were laughing at the possibility of an economic recession or the decline of the dollar until recently, now they change their tune and accuse others of throwing shit at the wall. I never heard anyone on YT saying that the dollar will lose it's value completely, what everyone is saying is that it's value is inflated, and the cornerstones of it's position are shaky and when the dollar goes to it's rightful place, it will go down fast. And I completely agree with this assessment. When the dollar starts to lose value, how will the US sustain it's instruments of power which sustains the dollar? How will sustain it's gov. spending? It will fall like a house of cards. There have been popular currencies throughout history, none could be fairly compared to the dollar, especially the ones before the industrial revolution. The chart you showed mentions countries, not currencies. These countries had many currencies, all of them backed by something, the vast majority were backed by gold and/or silver, the dollar is the first currency backed by military power and nothing else since 1971, it's downfall is long overdue, actually the dollar should have never gotten to what it is today, but you know.. the USA alone was the winner of WW2 The dollar has an exceptional position, unmatched throughout history, especially taking into consideration the times we live in: the internet, crypto..etc If it falls, the USA would have to compete with the world on equal footing. The dollar's might is achieved by multiple factors, not just by the GDP of the USA, it's also backed by the petrodollar, and overall trust in the power of USA. The petrodollar is on very shaky ground (eg. Saudi-arabia joining bricks and showing willingness to sell petrol in other currencies, many oil exporting countries joining bricks), countries being able to bypass USA sanctions and continue to sell their oil in other currencies. Once trust and the petrodollar go and U.S. treasuries start to lose value, it will start to fall fast. I'm not arguing that it's value will go to 0, but it would be catastrophic if in a very short period of time, the dollar loses 75% of it's value (pardon me if I can't say an exact number and date). I argue that the dollar will be a fraction of what's it's worth today and soon, the fact the nobody can give a timeline is because nobody can predict every detail of the future, and a lot of little details make the future, what the world knows is that this system is unfair and is run by a bully. For example: the result of the war in the middle east will decide if the petrodollar will take a massive hit or delay it. In our day and age we can create an alternative to the dollar. For example, the mbridge project is just one possibility which offers non centralized flexible international payments with CBDCs We do agree on something though: buy gold, and the time to buy it is now. The moment future is clear to everyone, it would probably be too late to buy.

Newbie, if the primary benefit to cryptocurrency is the exchange for goods and services without government interference, no middle person or additional fees, why are there so many altcoins? I understand some have lower fees or payments are executed faster and then there are smart contracts but if U want to pay John for mowing the lawn I'd send him $40 of Bitcoin from my cold wallet, done. What are other benefits other than trading or paying for goods and services is the altcoins used for? I understand using the Blockchain method to store medical information is protected though no coin is needed. So many exchanges and so many altcoins.

I am under the impression gold is taxable when one sells it. For example capital gains. Why do you say it isn't taxable, or did I misunderstand?
@CampbellsCoins
@CampbellsCoins 11 ай бұрын
There is capital gains involved in any investment. However, certain sales are reported to the IRS by a dealer when one sells specific pieces. But some sales with other pieces are not tax reportable; i.e. gold eagles. Totally different from capital gains. Hope this helps.

@@mikezambrano2555 no worries! Ohhh, that's a tough choice. Both are amazing and classic. Probably the Liberty simply because the design is more timeless and intricate.

Great analysis… I agree, I don’t see the US dollar being dethroned, the numbers aren’t strong enough to provide a new currency king… And speaking of China, with their failing real estate sector, and growing out of control debt, as well as some of the other brics nations aren’t financially secure enough. I just don’t see it being strong enough to overtake the US dollar
