A PGA Tour major, no! Perhaps a senior major but I don't think his ego will allow him to play the Champions tour..I've been wrong before however

Way over focused on the details.. that’s what ruins peoples swings. You can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. You can throw a ball, you can swing a club. Imagine having videos like this on learning the basics of throwing.. it’s just too much.

Whenever I try to chunk the the lowering move after taking the club back I do exactly that chunk behind the ball with the club. Is it a matter of timing and I should stay at it? I’ve tried it off and on with no success for about 6 months and when I try it wit the body turning complete disaster. I’m hoping one day I won’t think about the movements but when I do it’s like a short circuit in my brain!

Dangerous stuff trying to get inside Tiger's head. I'm more confused than before. Is he maybe working on an exaggerated move that's the opposite of his past tendency of getting stuck behind his right hip?

Yes, as we showed in video, fighting off early extension.

We clearly highlight that we differ in terms of the movement of the arms in the downswing. There are numerous ways to swing a club undoubtedly, but I have my preferences and believe that lowering correctly (as Tiger does here) is a more dynamic way to move.
@THUNDERIN782 жыл бұрын
Hey Milo, Can you do a lesson using lasers on the butt end of your club to help us identify our swing plane mistakes going back and down throughout the swing? Maybe you have other uses for lasers to identify swing flaws? Do you find these ‘Lasers’ to be helpful in practice and identifying issues?
@MiloLinesGolf2 жыл бұрын
We actually have a video coming up soon using the Tour Rotation Stick which extends off the butt of the club, but I could see lasers being helpful for at-home training. I know some golf training aid companies sell them.

What is the reason specifically not to add extension / anterior pelvic tilt during transition ? I think rotation still happens pretty well that way. Is it a safety issue or power loss?

@@MiloLinesGolf your videos have helped me a lot and thx for taking the time to do them. That thing Tiger was doing, plus the impact ball, and your videos have turned my game around. I don't see a lot of videos about the impact ball. For me it has really helped me. The guy I take lessons from was honest with me and said don't come back until you can hit a ball with the impact ball and you don't drop it. It took me months and I'm finally there. I'm not you nor do I know what you know, but combining the impact ball and what you had in the video about how the hips work was the key for me. I use both at once and it works. That one video you had made something click and I get it now. I tip my hat to you sir.

Hey guys, that move comes from the therapy world where we think we know that the spine likes extension better than flexion. It works well as a mental concept but doesn’t track well in athletic pursuits. In fact, the way that you train the swing and that position of the spine is probably better for most people. In your swing, you get more stability because you have a co-contraction of the back muscles and the abdominal muscles which creates a more stable lower back segment. Then the thoracic spine which is capable of more movement (along with the ribs) can be a mover. In your swing you have mobile hips (2nd most mobile major joints in the body), stable low back (which is quite prone to injury if it is mobile and loaded) and a mobile thoracic spine (which when 12 thoracic segments are combined make it really flexible)! Actually a perfect recipe for safe athletic movements for golf. Thanks, Alan.

Come to think of it, that was likely Barkley’s interpretation of the shallowing move. lol, lol, lol I believe you are correct Milo that Tiger still had that arched back which carried over. He obviously is trying to create room as being stuck was always his complaint when things went wrong. The arched back is no good in today’s way of doing things though if you want to protect your back. I used to get back spasms but now they are a thing of the past.
