Time for an 'Ackshually Feedback' I suppose for that last tank model's namesake. The Ram Mk I (& II) were a Canadian modification of the M3 Lee which increased the armor and removed the hull mounted gun. The armor was pretty comparable to the M4 Sherman so pretty decent for a medium tank.

2:00 - In singleplayer the AI doesn't make enough tacs or strats for cannons to be worth it. You can see this yourself if you get 100% air intelligence on them from breaking cipher and just look at what their stockpile is, they hardly ever have medium or heavy planes other than the ones they start with. I have no idea how these guys are effectively using planes with more than one or maybe two armor plates and no drop tanks, I guess as interceptors they would be OK but in a lot of areas they wouldn't have the range to go into adjacent airzones effectively.

I can never design a plane with no drop tanks. The moment I start pushing out of my own borders I'm going to need all the range I can scrape up.

I dont understand why people make small airframes with cannons and armor plates in single player 😭 Since I learned my heavy fighter airframe Im never changing back to small airframes lol My heavy fighters annihilate AI fighters like they are nothing wkth the addition of super long range. No joking when I say that 100 heavy fighters are enough to destroy 800-1k AI fighters

That looks like an AA truck I make sometimes, though usually I only use wheels early when it's better to get lots of cheap units onto the field. Whenever I try for a Silver Shirt US run, my game crashes in the air UI if I go the civil war path, so support anti-air and two or more anti-air battalions is a staple of all my units now. I can see using speed and breakthrough on it for the infantry brigade though, if he plans on also adding it to his motorized and armored columns. Easier to have one run of AA trucks than two or more concurrently that have to be sorted between functions. I have to say, the thing I like most about playing as the US is that after I finish the civil war I can start building dream tanks and divisions and it has the industry to support them. Seeing a representation of an industrial superpower at work makes me wonder even more, why the Hel are we importing anything when we could be making it ourselves? If there's anywhere in the world where autarky could be sustainable without loss of comfort, it's burgerland!

It's weird the way they use armored cars in this game, because armored cars working alongside infantry during WW2 was huge.

2:3 cannons are must if you play against germany because for some reason Germany doesnt upgrade its fighter ever so you gain the extra agility from the airframe upgrade BUT Germany doest because they never change the bf-109 they only upgrade the sea plane.{i think every nation that doest have a fighter upgrade ready in their focus tree ai cant upgrade by itself }

When i make tanks, especially mediums, i always put the improved medium cannon, maybe a squeeze bore, and then focus on some speed (i go for 10km/h) and some armour too, but not too little and try to keep the reliability in the 90s

The template in this video is a bad example, but I think the point of armored cars is to get breakthrough in a division as cheaply as possible. You don't bother with other stats because you're planning to rely on air to do most of the stomping. You just need the breakthrough to make the push and let your CAS do the real work.

If you are just playing against the AI. Tank divisions don't need high armor. It's wasted IC cost. You are busting through mostly infantry in Single-player as long as the infantry can't pierce you, any extra armor is just pointless.

@tuluppampam same still applies. If it's cost-effective in the few instances it's encountered. Go ahead and add more armor, but in general you don't need to go as hard as suggested in the video.

@@danielgloyd4529 that is true. I usually aim to get like 80% of the piercing value of anti-tank of the time. It does the trick well enough

I have a question If you add a tank to an infantry division and the tank has over 100% reliability, will that increase the average reliability on the division as well? I am not sure how it works Will the tank still have its 100% reliability or will it actually decrease if i add it to an infantry division with an average of lower then 100%?

I think the game calculates attrition separately for each piece of equipment, but I might be wrong

It'll skew the stat but it won't affect actual attrition rates. Man, I really want a designer of sorts for everything now, I'd be willing to burn army XP just to make sure my guns and gizmos are all well-made enough that they won't break in combat.

@@joskarifinaukr6503 I mean if the cap is at like 90% (100% is max normally on equipment) instead of the 80% but you ether need to worse the stats or greatly increase the production cost.

@@Zack_Wester So? You know that's how weapon development works in the real world. In peace time you can afford to go for more expensive gear that works more reliably. Then whenever a war breaks out you start working out ways to make it cheaper without cutting effectiveness too much. Besides, I keep going back to the US, which has an insane industry once it gets off of disarmed/isolation and pulls out of the depression. If anything, designing weapons would be more beneficial to smaller nations that can't field a massive army, but could make that tiny army bite harder than any other through quality.
