Yes!!!! It's a must on the 🍍 core and peeler! I have one but I keep it down in the Florida keys where my family spends a lot of summer months! We eat a lot of pineapple in the summer and it's the best! I always use it and it works flawless every time!

I was married in the late ‘70’s when Post It Notes first came out and I was thrilled with them! I used them for everything but particularly for labeling which food went into which serving dish for parties and holiday dinners. To this day everybody teases me about using them but because they make planning so much easier I’ll never stop. Tell your mom that we smart ladies have always been ahead of the curve, lol!

I love that you make allergen friendly foods and talk so openly about it whenever you guys do get togethers! Some people make it seem so inconvenient to have to accommodate someone with allergies at parties. I love that you're helping to normalize it and show how easy it is to make sure no one is left out!

Watching videos of you and your mom prepping and cooking together reminds me of the days long ago when I would help my mom cook and prep big dinners. I loved those days because it was our time to bond together. I’m the only girl in the family so it was just a given that I would help her. I learned so much about multi-tasking in the kitchen from her and how to season food by taste, and not by a recipe. She just knew from instinct (or maybe it was years of experience) how to time an entire huge meal to come out all at once - Something I definitely learned from her. We’re a Mexican household so time in the kitchen was a HUGE part of our life. So much was learned in mom’s tiny basement kitchen. 💕❤️ So much love always went into making every meal, just like you and your Mom! These experiences you have with your beautiful mom and family will become fond treasured memories throughout their lives. My mom is long gone (as is my dad), but when I cook, especially if I can get my daughter to help, I feel the love and presence of my mom in every taste and in every wonderful aroma that fills the house. God Bless you, your mom and your entire family and thank you for another wonderful video! 💕 P.S. your dad absolutely ROCKS!!! I love how he helps! He and your mom are an awesome couple!

Wow, Becky and Susan, y'all are wonderful, amazing, and so energetic! Susan, I love how you are so ORGANIZED: pre-measuring all the spices, your rectangular-shaped measuring spoons, your printed timetables, your various prep zones around the kitchen with accompanying recipe and all the ingredients layed out, your hack for using a pastry cutter to cut up cooked ground meat, how you cut up the cantaloupe in your hand, how you had such forethought in buying the extra aluminum trays, and all your lovely white food display trays, plates & bowls and corresponding post-it notes. I'm impressed with how y'all are so efficient and productive with prioritizing when to cook or bake items. Becky, that's so great how your Dad was kind enough to help sweep, vacuum, and mop the floors after you and your Mom were on your feet all day cooking and baking. And, that was wonderful of him to be so creative with the butterfly cake. It's also great that your Dad and husband help clean up after the party - that shows such gratitude! I especially loved hearing y'all praying over the food - in Jesus' name! Becky, I love how you're always so upbeat, talkative, and articulate. God Bless you for sharing all your God-given skills, talents, and abilities with us.

I’m planning my 40th birthday party with my Mom and just sent her this video. I think we will be copying some of your make ahead ideas. Thank you so much!!!

I just love your mom and how you two work so seamlessly together! I had that with my sweet mama that we lost to cancer a few years ago and miss that camaraderie so very much! Precious memories you're making together along with all that delicious food! Thanks for sharing the fun!

I have had a pineapple slicer/corer 🍍for years and I love it! I don't use it often, but when I do, I'm glad that I have it. It also cuts the stack of rings into chunks.

You asked about the pineapple cutting tool. My wife has been using one for a couple years and it does a good job. It has a few drawbacks but for the most part it does a good job.

What a beautiful family you have Becky, your mom reminds me of my lebanese gramma who always cooked for days just to have her kids and grandchildren for Sunday dinner❤you are truly blessed! Happy birthday Becky, and to everyone who had a birthday!🌸🌷🌸

Yes, I have one of those pineapple cutter/corer. It's great if the pineapple core is straight and even throughout the pineapple. The least bit off or curved and it's not so easy. Just watch that the pineapple you buy isn't shaped weird.

I didn’t catch if you used canned or dried chickpeas for your hummus. It’s an extra step, but I find the texture of hummus from dried chickpeas is better and smoother than when you use canned chickpeas. (I use Alton Brown’s Slow Cooker Chickpeas recipe to prep the beans.) If you typically use canned, some day when you have a little time to experiment, you might try the dried and see if you think so too!

I can't stand water, but I'll do cucumber/lemon or add rosemary too and it's great, especially after yardwork.
Prepping for all the dinners!
