If Hoyo wants to avoid 3DMigato user, they have to bring up a In-Game shop for buying skins like in other Games.. Im talking about Star Rail right now.

1 skin per year doesn't change anything. The skins will still be censored because there is Chinese censorship. New Chinese games - Wuwa, Star Rail - have no skins at all.

Ideally, yes. I wouldn't mind paying for the skins legitimately if that was an option. The only issue with this is the censorship laws in China really discourages this behavior unfortunately, and the skins would most likely be extremely limited compared to modding your game

Hello, It would be a huge mistake on their part to ban mods. It doesn’t really affect the gameplay, as these are mods, not cheats, which allow players to get characters (free summons). The players who use these are mostly long-time players who have spent money on the game at some point. Not only would they lose their playtime and money, which would reduce the player base because there are quite a lot of them, but they’d also lose money since a banned person wouldn’t return to the game and wouldn’t spend any more money. I’ve been using mods for a long time, and if I get banned, I wouldn’t return to the official servers of the game. They have everything to lose by doing something like that.

As a mod creator, i use since day 1, so far so good. There's always the risk of being banned, obviously, but to be the lucky one you have to be incredibly lucky. And i think no one here has won the big prize in lottery.

Thanks for the info, but I do have a curious question.. I heard and I know 3ddmigoto doesn't change in-game files it works through your GPU as you explained it, but if it doesn't change any files from their game, how do they detect it?

Hmm that's a good question. I don't know the details of it. But the first thing that comes to my mind is the kernel-level anti-cheat software that both Genshin Impact and HSR is using. It is very invasive and it sees everything that runs in your system. They could erase Private Servers and stuff like 3DMigoto in a week if they wanted to tbh, they just don't care I guess as long as it doesn't cross the red line. (Like some Re-Shades do for example cuz of the texture change + inject to original game files)

​@@MadaleineSakurai as of now only HSR (and HI3rd but that is a unique anti-cheat system that was never implemented in successive hoyo games) is still using kernel level anti-cheat software that was implemented from the lauch of the game, genshin changed it in 3.4 (if I remember correctly) and ZZZ only had it on day 1. That is why HSR and HI3rd are the only 2 out of this 4 games that are not playable on linux (proton can emulate everything about windows apart from the kernel)

Look you'll probably not get banned, js avoid modding first week new update bcs then usually theres a ban wave. Ive bee using this a week on my main for 2 weeks or something. Worst case scenario you'll get banned 1 week as ''warning''.

The terms of use usually say that “mods” are prohibited. You say you are fine with it because it only changes the character graphics that you can see from your computer, but that is data tampering as well. You just say, “It doesn't bother other people, so it's OK. The fact that you hide the player ID in this video is proof of that.
