So very proud of you, you are accomplishing so much❤. And you are the perfect teacher for those who may never have lifted a finger to build on their own. You're a great example of what you can accomplish if you just set your mind to it and don't give up❤

I purchased a house with more land here in camp verde az 2 yr ago and Im proud of myself for making the leap.... and it is more work. some days I don't have a ton of energy or motivation and I just try to give myself some slack and enjoy the fact that I do keep busy each day....at 65 Im just delighted that life and God has afforded me the opportunity to experiment growing vegetables plant fruit trees learn new skills, and tend to my chickens and dogs. I have been watching you for a couple years and you give me fortitude to keep going....you are admired and loved.

Been following you since year 1. I'm out near Wickenburg and am so very impressed with your determination and willingness to start from little. I am amazed at how much you have grown and built in 5 short years. Your weight loss and increased health is showing in your video production. Your love of animals is obvious and endearing. You are also giving hope to so many! Keep up the good fight!

Hi. Caliche is useful for construction purposes ... I watch your video and really like it. I come from a farmers family in my country and when I was around 7 move back to the city. I don't have land where to go back but love this type of videos. Just to dream that one day I will do the same in my country. Thanks for sharing

To answer the question: Yes, I've been doing it for just over five years. Totally off-grid and in an arid mountain area at 6840 feet. Not much snow so far this year, but we're under a wind advisory tomorrow! There are several things I like about your setup and one feature I plan on adding in the next couple months is a greenhouse.... a bit simpler than yours, but useful nonetheless.

Yes I could live off grid in the desert with the right "honorable" man. As a woman, I don't think I could do all that by myself. You're doing great. This is a wonderful video. Let us know how the stallion is doing.

I live in the high desert and have never seen a gila monster (yet?), but hundreds of snakes, lizards and horny toads. I haven't seen a scorpion yet, but I did see a centipede once...it was huge
