Something the Hidan section made me think about, what if Rock Lee swore his life to Jashin? Neither him or Hidan can use ninjutsu, and if Hidan had the speed and power that Lee does he would be a huge threat. Also, on that note, would Lee be immune to the effects of the gates, specifically the 8th gate? This might be a big rabbit hole to go down lol.

Although Lee and Hidan cannot use Ninjutsu, the eight gates depletes most of the body's chakra and puts extreme strain on the body. Hidan's techniques are also based on chakra manipulation. So, I think the eightth gate would prolly exhaust hidan to the point where we could consider him dead. After all, if his body is just lying around doing nothing, it would be easy to chop him up and starve him out.

Kakazu was likely FAR stronger against hashirama then against team Asuma and kakashi + naruto because Kakakzu had been chakra depleted and stamina exhausted from fighting the 2 tails, sealing the 2 tails for 3 days, killing the monk, fighting team asuma, then proceeding to get jumped against kakshi, naruto, and team asuma. Not to mention that when kakazu was introduced against team Asuma originally, he was able to speed blitz every single character there including asuma only for that level of speed to not be mentioned almost 4 days later when they were back to revenge. Its likely due to the sealing of a tailed beast for 3 days and not getting a chance to rest

Im glad that legit half of the ways to beat the Akatsuki members are genjutsu, cause the show did genjutsu so dirty. There was like 4 people who used it in the whole show, and it was either an op genjutsu or one that was easily broken, so Nick is really giving genjutsu its moment to shine as an actually useful ability :p

And Hyuga + Wind is monstruous, Kishimoto made Naruto have a jutsu that destroys you in a celular level, and he unwillingly achieved that effect, but a hyuuga that is all about molding and controling chakra with extreme accuracy, they would be able to combine their wind + taijutsu to end everyone's career, no matter if they don't hit you hard or even kill you, they can just destroy your chakra network with ease and bye bye, even if you live, you're no threat anymore as you've been demoted to random human with some taijutsu and weapon knowledge that will definitely die faster than an ANBU in tuesdays.

And honestly, you don't really need to have as much Taijutsu talent as Neji, just enough to know Gentle Fist, which pretty much all of the Hyuuga do, and you only really need to know lightning release and maybe earth release. And knowing two elemental releases is not that uncommon for Jonin. As for the Genjutsu, you don't really need to be top-tier, just relatively decent at it.

tbh hyuga with wind is more than enough for a deadly combo, Naruto could unwilllingly create a jutsu that has such accuracy that destroys you with multiple needles on a celular level that not even Tsunade can heal, even the chakra network, a Hyuga who is all about manipulating their chakra with accuracy could easily end your ninja career with that and with not a real hard-hitting effort. Combine that with senjutsu and you have a hyuga who can either snipe you from afar and end your ninja career, throw you jutsus from middle distanca and end your ninja career, or get up close and STILL end your ninja career. Top that with the fact that you could have a secondary release like lightning that could also be combined with their precise chakra manipulation, and you're done. And not even susanoo can stop that, Danzo could with just wind style make a huge cut on sasuke's susanoo, wind + the buff of a hyuga's expertise in chakra manipulation?, I don't see what they CAN'T cut in half with that, and yata mirror just blocks from the front, it's not really invincible, and if you happen to have earth not even susanoo can really be a menace.

So here's your ideal mid-level Jonin build for challenging members of the Akatsuki: You have an innate Lightning Nature affinity, and a _particular_ proclivity for Genjutsu. This is your base; these are things you _need_ to be born with, because these are the two things you will be relying on _the most_ in your upcoming fights, and you'll want to have these two facets of your build be the _strongest_ facets of your build. Since every Shinobi is born with _at least one_ innate Chakra Nature affinity, and an increased talent towards either Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, or Genjutsu, you'd be the same. A Byakugan is preferrable, but that might be asking for a bit much; plus, Byakugan consume Chakra quickly, and you don't have all that much to spare as the Joe Average of Shinobi. You _must_ practice the Body Flicker Technique and Kagebuyo to the _absolute extreme_ that a mid-level Jonin with a balanced move-set can be reasonably expected to reach. Body Flicker is the next-best option to the Flying Thunder God Technique as a means of getting into and out of combat range of an opponent, and you'll be needing it _a lot_ because a full _half_ of the Akatsuki have offensive abilities that will _annihilate you_ if they hit you even once. But Body Flicker isn't enough against the Dojutsu wielders; all they need to do is get a sufficiently good _look_ at you, and you're toast, _literally_ in two of the four cases! Kagebuyo is a Taijutsu movement technique that essentially lets you Body Flicker into your enemy's blind spot, right behind them, which is the _only hope_ you have of challenging a Sharingan wielder in a one-on-one fight without a Sharingan of your own. Kagebuyo also combos nicely into touch-activated Genjutsu, which _is_ a thing, and is a _massive_ middle-finger to Deidara! The final skills you'd need to learn is how to be as _infuriatingly obnoxious_ as a human being can _possibly_ be, plus a top-tier acting ability. Some of the Akatsuki are just too far beyond the power and scope of a mid-level Jonin such as yourself, so your strategy is to Chakra stall them. However, only an _imbecile_ would overdraw their Chakra while fighting an opponent that is obviously weaker than themselves! Ideally, you'd be good enough at bluffing about your own abilities that the Akatsuki _think_ that they need to seriously expend Chakra to take you out when they don't, or alternatively you need to make them _hate you so much that they don't give a damn_ as long as you shut up and die! A potential addendum to this ideal list of skills and affinities a mid-level Jonin would need in order to challenge Akatsuki members with a non-zero chance of victory: poison. As far as I know, poison will _still_ affect and kill most of the Akatsuki members if you can even _nick_ them. In fact, the only members who are _definitively_ immune to poison are Sasori and Obito, and that's because we know they don't have proper circulatory systems because _both of them_ are in varying stages of becoming Reverse Pinocchio. They're made either entirely, or significantly, out of wood, and Obito doesn't have a heart to pump blood even if you got poison into his fleshy parts anyway. _Maybe_ Black Zetsu is in the same boat, but we aren't totally sure. The Six Paths of Pain are _literally_ just corpse-puppets, so naturally it wouldn't do a thing to them, but it _would_ work on Nagato. Hidan and Kakuzu _still_ have functional circulatory systems, so poison should work on them, even if only as a paralytic, which is _more_ than sufficient in _their_ cases. Konan _also_ still has a functional circulatory system, or else Obito wouldn't have been able to kill her via impalement, and he'd have needed to _run_ from her. Everyone else is biologically normal, so poison is perfectly valid against them!

Inoichi, who is one of the best sensor-type ninja in Konoha says that Nagato continuously changes the frequency at which he transmits chakra, making him unable to be reverse-tracked. The only way to do it was with Naruto's Sage Mode and it required him to stab himself with a rod to do it.

One issue would be splitting the teams up. Usually, the Akatsuki travel in pairs... it's pretty tough to solo 2 of them. You would have to use a lot of kiting and Talk no Jutsu to get them to separate.

There is a much easier way to defeat Tobi and it requires just a tiny bit of prerp: Poison Gas. I don’t care if he can phase through attacks, he needs to breath and he loves to talk. Use a smoke bomb, then attack. He will phase through but you will drop some poison gas palets. He will most likley punch you so just roll with it to be out of the gasses range. Or you know just throw kunai at his feet after the smoke bomb. Since he isn't falling throughthe ground atleast his sole is solid

Problem is, this won't really work. Obito's Kamui works subconciously, almost like ultra instinct. Plus we know you can breathe in Kamui itself. The reason Minato was able to land the hit, wasn't because he caught Obito off guard, but because he teleported at the last second where Obito was about to touch Minato. We know Obito when he turns solid, has a few seconds of delay before he can phase again. Minato used that to his advantage. So you can't just catch Obito off guard, you need to time out your attack perfectly, for when he is about to land a hit on you

@@TheEternalFlame57 That's not exactly how Kamui works. It is indeed unconscious but when its activated. Most people are of the misconception that when Obito activates Kamui, he's in boxland. They couldn't be more wrong. Even when Obito has activated phasing, he still exists in the real world. Only the part of the body overlapped by some physical substance will be phased through and the body part appears in the Kamui dimension. This is explained in ch. 597. We see this again in Ch. 609 more clearly. It is this aspect of Kamui, that is unconscious. He cannot choose which body parts to teleport (well he has shown some control but that is for another time). All the parts that are supposed to come in contact with a substance are transported unconsciously. Your insinuation on him taking time to transition between solid and ghost mode was never cited in the series or the databooks as far as I remember.

The problem with all your 'just use genjutsu' strategy, is that pain is also an effective method to break out of it. We see that with Shikamaru breaking out of Tayuya's genjutsu by breaking his own thumb. There are methods to get out, even if you've got zero chacra control.

I could be wrong, but if I recall correctly, she and Shimamaru have a conversation after that fight and she's got a belly on her. I agree with the 2nd. Obito used Kamui on other things at least half a dozen times during the show. For the fun of it, I'll name a few: 1) He used it on Minato after successfully chaining him up during the Nine Tails attack (though Minato just teleported back) 2) He used it on bombs to help him plant them underground to help Deidara in his fight with Sasuke 3)He used it on fodder plenty of times, such as using it on Danzo's lookouts prior to Sasuke's fight with Danzo 4) He used it to save Sasuke from being atomized by Onoki 5) He used it on Kakashi to warp him into the Kamui dimension, where they had their epic fight 6) He used it on Kaguya's bone killing ash to save Kakashi from getting hit

Two things. Firstly, Genjutsu types are just much more rare than Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. Secondly, you need to be REALLY good at Genjutsu to trick people or keep them trapped long enough for you to launch another attack. So you need to be a good amount stronger than the person you're fighting in order to keep them in Genjutsu that's not a small deception.

it seems the more chakra ur target has compared to you, the harder it is to place them under genjutsu. However skilled genjutsu users like itachi was still able to put Naruto under genjutsu. So in short, the best genjutsu user should have lots of chakra, and skilled chakra control.

Hey Nick! I would argue that Itachi does have lethal ranged capabilities that were either not mentioned or overlooked: 1. He is an expert at shuriken jutsus and usage. Certainly, this would be a ranged issue for us. 2. His incredibly strong ranged attack in his Susanoo form called Yasaka Beads. He uses this in his fight against Nagato when they were in edo tensei. In conjunction with B's tailed beast bomb and the Yasaka Beads they were able to blow up a Planetary Devastation. 3. He still has his fire release which can still be lethal (granted, fire balls never really work in the show, so likely this won't give us trouble) 4. His genjutsu is long ranged as well. All the opponent has to do is make contact with any part of his body, not just his eyes (I believe he put Naruto under a genjutsu early on on in the show just by twitching his finger as the trigger, not necessarily looking into his eyes though). I could be wrong about the any body part thing, but still; not being able to look at your opponents face to stop his long range genjutsu can be problematic.

Susano'o + Yasaka on an alive Itachi (which is the example of the video), is suicide for him, he would just outright die, too much pressure for his ill body and relatively average chakra pool. The genjutsu, the only part of his body that is confirmed he can use genjutsu with is his finger, not all the body, and as long as you don't look at him in the eyes you can still release yourself with Kai, the only dead end genjutsu is tsukuyomi. I have a great idea, although a boring one if you apply this when you're isekai-ed to the Naruto world, you can 'defeat' the Akatsuki without lifting your finger. Step 1, befriend Naruto. Step 2, convince Sasuke that you're not a threat to him. Step 3, tell them both(and/or the Hokage) all about Akatsuki and how to defeat them. Step 4, sit back and relax while the main character demolishes the Akatsuki one by one. Step 5, tell Naruto and/or the Hokage how to defeat team taka including Sasuke after Sasuke kills Itachi and maybe some other members. Step 6, build a shrine in the middle of Konoha to worship Nick NCHammer23 because he brings us wisdom about everything in the Naruto world including info about the Akatsuki.

He's activating the Jutsu, Diedara that is. He has to internalize the clay before it's activated, and internally is where Chakra is molded for jutsu. By the time the clay becomes active, his body modification forbidden jutsu has activated the explosive clay control sub-jutsu and molded the Chakra for the explosion, as he would have no way to externally mold the Chakra after sending out the clay to make it do big boom.

tbf, i'm not even sure why gaara took so long to wake up after deidara's fight, he didnt really sustain much damage, deidara didnt know about his sand armor, which he still had when the explosion occured, gaara just exhausted himself after using all that chakra to protect the village from the explosion and then from the sand used to protect him. So theoretically, especially being a jinchuriki he should have only needed a couple hours and be good. And speaking on being a jinchuriki, why didnt shukaku just pop out now that gaara was unconscious, that always irked me on how they just made his tailed beast a non factor in capturing it, especially knowing how shukaku, being a fuinjutsu master, can just pop out of his seal if the will of his jinchuriki is distracted (aka asleep or unconscious)

As for Obito, the clothing transferring is based on his ability to transport, not just himself, but anything he’s touching. This is actually a major goal of his during his fight against Minato, if he can grab Minato and send him into Kamui, he wins. He’s touching his clothes, the clothes transport with his body. He touches you, he transports you and lets you starve to death in there 🤣 or just dumps some dangerous creatures on your head or something. The explosive tags are really the only option that work against him when fighting him alone, since you can get them into the other space via some trickery like Konan did. If the explosive tags are attached to his body AND in the other space as well, then he’s stuck. But if you don’t have both sides covered, he can dip into whichever side is safe. Heck, if tags on both sides don’t go off at the same time, he can eject the tags in the other space right back into your face 🤣

The only reason Asuma lost to Hidan is due to a lack of intel. He had to think on his feet while figuring out Hidan's tactics. Same goes for all the Akatsuki. They would have been so much easier to beat if they had the same intel on them we have now. We know their every move and skill and personality, but would have been much harder without this intel. Yes, lightning style is strong against water style user. But the Kisame can absorb chakra and when fused with samehada the limit increased 10 folds. Out of all the nature transformation justu, lighting justu are ones that have raw chakra radiating out of them. Samehada ate killer bee’s lightning style chakra😎. Genjustu argument… samehada can share chakra and wake him up. Tsukyomi is not included. Pretty sure… only Kakashi and Guy are the ones that can take down Kisame!

Genjutsu is underrated I would use smoke bomb, Body Flicker, Shadow Clones, Everywhere Shuriken, and have them pull out a poison smog scroll. Have the clones surround the Akatsuki and use Transformation to other Akatsuki members. I use Wind Style: Silent Killing - wind blades that aims for the throat. The clones go in using Fire Style: Will of Fire - a touch ignites chakra into Flames. Seal them in Earth Style: Sealed Coffin
