I’m confused as to Danzo ordering the uchiha to guard the outskirts of the village, because if it really was true that the uchiha are the ones responsible for releasing the nine tails on the village why on earth would they just give up and be like “well we were gonna destroy the village but we got orders to guard the outskirts so too bad for that plan”

Its realistic because fear is irrational. People do stupid things that dont make much sense when they are scared especially if they are suspicious after all the clan might have still been allied but its possible a few select individuals did it but wouldnt blow their cover on what seemed like a foiled plan. It also comes down to if they arent allowed to help they dont gain any credit and look useless helping to break any potential political gain for a suspected future enemy

I know I am very late, but that is kind of the point IMO. The Uchiha actually controlling Kurama would realistically still move on with their plan, so killing any Uchiha on sight becomes a viable option, since any Uchiha near Kurama would be disobeying orders and therefore would probably be the culprit.

Not only that but if the Uchiha were controlling Kurama the last thing the village should do is segregate them. Easy way to minimize Uchiha casualties.

Obviously because they don’t have enough evidence of the Uchihas actually controlling the 9 tails. If they disobeyed orders and actually have done so, it would give Danzo reasonable cause to eliminate the Uchiha. Suspicions =\= facts. That’s why he had to do so

I think it was more a case of Danzo knowing that even if Fugaku didn’t release Kurama he could definitely control him, Danzo doesn’t want anyone having more control over the situation than himself

Since Kushina was weak from giving birth, I feel like Kurama would have still needed to be split up before being sealed back in her, so Naruto still would have gotten half of Kurama sealed inside of him. In my mind this means Naruto still would have trained with Jiraiya, Kakashi, and Yamato. Maybe just a little later in life which would be where Sai steps in as a temporary team 7 member.

yeah the plan was for her to take kurama into the afterlife with her to stall what ever plan obito had and Minato came up with the reaper death seal. I think Kushina would of died that day considering all that happened.

Danzo would have anticipated punishment and would have used his influence to assassinate Fugaku. Until Naruto there was always discrimination against the Uchiha. Naruto and Sasuke’s friendship signifies peace between the two clans.

Awesome hypothetical. Some takeaways I got from this series of events: - Itachi still being a Leaf shinobi and Tsunade being back in the village as well...genuinely possible the greatest medical ninja in the world actually cures Itachi's illness. And we can potentially see a prime healthy Itachi (potentially with EMS as well, if he can transplant Shisui's eyes, since Obito was so kind as to bring his body back as a power move lol) - Hebi is a bit of a point of contention because we are left not knowing just what happens with Orochimaru now in Shin's body or even characters like Jugo or Karin, considering how much of a drive for characterization and arc Sasuke was for them in the OG, only for him not to be present at all in this timeline - Fugaku dying standing up to Madara, representing just what the Uchiha could have been in Konoha that Madara lost faith in, the Uchiha who was chosen and accepted as Hokage, and in the end passing down his message, new ideals with renewed faith in the Leaf, and directly his power to the next generation of Uchiha in Sasuke *and* doing so as a similar thing happens with Naruto as Kushina dies, Minato literally passing it down and being the contemporary, friend, advocate, basically the Shikamaru to Fugaku's Naruto... chef's kiss - That does beg the question though...Fugaku is dead...who becomes the next Hokage? Does Minato take up the mantle a little later than in canon and help lead the realm in an era of peace (and potentially end up getting that rematch vs Orochimaru as Hokage this time)? Does Tsunade become 5th Hokage in both timelines due to her efforts in both major conflicts and vaunted history as a Sannin? Does Itachi take up his father's mantle and become the Hokage, being one to possess the mind and heart of a Hokage according to Senju Hokage in the OG timeline? I pretty much think it's one of these three for sure because Kakashi would just fall down the pecking order in this timeline and even Naruto may not even be interested considering his happy upbringing meaning he doesn't really feel the need for it for recognition and his dad not even being Hokage so it's also not something he aspires to as a legacy thing either. Honestly, this timeline's Sasuke would be up above Naruto in terms of predicted desire to become Hokage, and it would be pretty funny if, down the line, we ended up with the opposite of canon: Sasuke as the official Hokage and Naruto as the "shadow Hokage" though Naruto would definitely be much more like Jiraiya in that role.

Itachi EMS would be kinda funny actually. Sasuke pops his own eyes out and gets EMS from Fugaku's eyes, and Itachi takes Sasuke's original eyes to get his EMS unlock. Or simplify things and Fugaku tells Sasuke "find your brother and trade eyes. this will make you both stronger than me."

This was a great story, but there was one thing I did notice. The 10 year limit on Kotoamatsukami only applies to those who take Shisui’s eyes. Shisui himself you’ll use Kotoamtsumaki once per day in both eyes.

I realized that an Uchiha becoming Hokage, whether it'd be Madara or Kagami as First or Second Hokage or Fugaku as Fourth Hokage, would have meant a stronger/better Konoha overall, quite some time before the Fourth great Ninja War arc started, after the Sasuke vs Itachi fight in Shippuuden.

Just as with Minato, at the time it was the right decision to make Hiruen Hokage, but in Hindsight, Kagami would have probably been the right choice. Madara being Hokage is a really bad idea, judging by how he actually was... but for Kagami as third Hokage... somehow, I feel like it may have prevented the whole Uchiha massacre, so maybe still no vengeance thristy Sasuke to be seen, even then. (Unless he somehow died and somebody else, likely Hiruzen had to then take his place and undid whatever good he did for the uchiha/konoha relationship)

shisui has always been my favorite off all time i feel like they could of done so much with him he had so much potential. He is only Uchiha who has social skills that match his talent. I feel like him and Fugaku had so much potential as Fugako was a canadatite for Hokage and had a run on sight order just like Minato in the 3rd War, and you can say that Minato was younger and was a prodigy but would'nt Fugako's age help him expirience wise. It would of been cool if we got a little rivalry backstory on minato and Fugako rivalry as jonins and during there Hokaha election. I would even accept Fugako taking Danzos job as the Shadow kage. Also would of been cool to get a more indebt story of Shisui as he was better than Itachi as a prodigy like the time him and Itachi had to face Mukai Kohinata or maybe some stories about his relation to Kagami(would also like to here bout Kagami as it was said he was friedns with DANZO!!!)

I dunno if this is allowed for ninja to train their relative. Like you said, it doesn't sound like a good idea. Plus, when it comes to actual teams in the show, we don't see anyone who is related to their sensei. Tradition ? Sure, with the Sarutobi + Ino-shika-cho formation, but this is all. There may be training time for anyone who belongs to a clan (that is still alive *looking at Naruto and Sasuke*) with their clan, to learn more hidden justu of said clan, like we see for the Hyuga, like we are tol Kiba and Shino have too (and likely the entire team 10). Putting those from civilians families, like Sakura (possibly Lee and Tenten too) at a disadvantage just like this. Naruto and Sasuke are special cases, because the Uzumaki were long wiped out and weren't even from the leaf, complicating the thing and well... any Uchiha could have trained Sasuke, when it comes to sharigan, if they were still alive. (part of why they settle for second best with giving him to Kakashi) ... On this topic, I am not sure if team 7 is good or bad for Kakashi mental health when you think of it. Sasuke is like tiny him but also a uchiha oprhan, like Obito, Naruto is the child of his sensei and acts like Obito... the only arguably different one, at least back then, is Sakura, that is quite different from Rin, but does grow up to become more similar...

but minato tagged obito so obito wouldve probably gotten kill after they got kurama sealed. they would have assemble an elite team to go after him and fugaku would've probably been in it to counter sharingan. Minato also thought it couldve been madara so yeah. Eventually, I think fugaku would've basically killed danzo or just kicked him out of the village simply because hiruzen would've requsted not to kill him. So basically you have A) danzo warns obito somehow so obito lives. B) obito dies but black zetsu would've allied with danzo instead and you have a situation where danzo wants to reclaim the village because all this time he already believed only him can keep the village safe and make it stronger. In the end Danzo was kinda of a pre-fascism type of character or just read the "fin de ciecle era and fusion of maurrasism with sorelianism" section on wiki's fascism page

In the end the most entertaining WHAT IF it just danzo joining akatsuki along with orochimaru. Maybe even danzo ends up becoming Kazekage since he has always been working with Orochimaru and orochimaru killed 3rd Kazekage. To be fair the reason of Orochimaru attacking the village was kind weak anyways so maybe Danzo attacks it instead.

Hell, I'll take it a step further and say that Danzo as an akatsuki member starts hunting down Sharingans and even some byakugans of leaf ninjas going out in missions. Him using the network of the akatsuki to make himself stronger and more experiments with orochimaru and what motivates the plot to start focusing on the akatsuki in Shippuden.

@@30STMand3DG i think that will go against nagatos objective to acheive peace. it could be argued that nagato lets hiddan do sacrifices and lets kakaza rob banks. But hiddan needs to do sacrifices to stay immortal and i rememeber konan stating that the akatsuki need money as well as tailed beasts to fund the organisation in storm 3 which is canon. but all in all , i dont see nagato letting danzo run around stealing dojutsu. it will make the akatsuki to high status too early. if you remember the five kage only took the akatsuki serious after they tried getting killer bee and by then they had gottan 7 of the 9 tailed beats. the akatsukis strenth was the fact that people new very little about them. so dont see nagato let danzo do thta

The only problem I have with the interaction with Danzo is that we've seen him placed under genjutsu by Sasuke during their fight. Albeit a weaker genjutsu than others we have seen, I do see this as a problem with speculation as is. Once he was under it and understood he was under it at the start, and once he was at the end of the fight and didn't realize it, and we didn't see him attempt to end himself during each of these instances. Beyond that this is wonderful. Still trying to think of what would happen *IF* Danzo was left as is in Kotoamatsukami.

Based on this headcanon/theory, without Kurama, with both his parents alive growing up, would Naruto even have Talk no jutsu in the first place, and thus either he ends up killing Nagato or getting killed by him? I guess plot armor steps in if that's the case, so then Naruto kills Nagato.

Naruto wouldn't have Talk no jutsu if he didn't suffer as a kid, because his talk no jutsu, his ability to reach people's hearts comes from being able to relate to other people's pain and suffering. And since he experienced pain like most of people he used talk no jutsu on (and worked) but decided to improve and save and care for others, he became credible enough to be listened to. ***In this headcanon/theory, at least

Minato would still be alive, along with the 2 sanin, more than enough to stop, pain/nagato. Minato said during the pain fight that, madara/tobi was the real threat. Also naruto out smarted pain when they where both chakra exhausted with shadow clones. So a sage Naruto nd Minato combo could pull of some crazy feats.

I really like how you handle approaching theories like this. This was an amazing video! I think I actually like these kinds of videos more than the fact videos. Though I do learn a lot about characters I thought I knew a lot about (mostly itachi cause hes my favorite),I really like seeing what kind of direction other people would take stories. And your a great story teller in that it's a unique enough story that changes things but also sticks a bit to the original story in people's abilities and such just get them in a different way or be buffed. I also doubt that Shisui would lose to Obito, at least I wouldn't think he would since he was on par with Itachi and I wanna doubt that Itachi would lose to Obito as well. But honestly the power scaling is confusing to me. I'd also like to believe that Shisui wouldn't be stupid enough to use his MS on Nagato and would instead talk no jutsu like Naruto, and before Nagato was persuaded Obito kills him and battled Shisui for awhile, fled before being caught in the genjutsu and still declared war on the Uchiha. Because Shisui was said to be on par with Itachi in intelligence I'd hate to think he'd waste his last remaining eye on someone less importance like Nagato.

Great analysis and theory. There are alot of small ways this timeline can derail/diverge but the core of your theory is spot on. Honestly whatever happens during naruto’s birth and right after dictates the rest of the show and blaming the uchiha definitely was not the move. Hiruzen really needed to kick out danzo.

My one issue is how often orichimaru referred to saske as the "perfect vessel", he wanted saskes body due to the strength and him being an Uchiha therefore I belive orchimaru will still go after saske but saske would be way less willing to join

There’s a lot of what if’s you can look back and hypothesize could/would change w/slight adjustments once you’ve see the original ending and outcomes, this version included, some for the better, some for the worse. In my opinion, one of the things that could have made the biggest (potentially positive) differences in the Nauruto world, for several characters/groups of characters (think the Uzumaki’s, & Uchicha’s, etc.) was for Hiruzen Sarutobi to have some sense smacked into him during the second half of his reign as Hokage and make better choices. Despite having the trust of the village and power of the Hokage, he essentially let lower ranking officials run the show and control his decisions (yes he’s supposed to consult with them, but he basically become’s Danzo’s lapdog), which lead to one bad decision after another that cause a lot of unnecessary death, destruction and chaos. Not only did he flub his leadership duties, he failed his duty as a ninja when he allowed Orochimaru to escape Konica when he couldn’t bring himself to kill his precious student turned mad scientist. Any ordinary ninja would be locked up for letting that happen. And finally the way that Naruto was raised was uncomprehensible. He was the son of a Hokage and yet was given the bare minimum in resources and attention and was basically ignored and orphaned since birth (like why would you do that to a child that holds such a dangerous weapon inside him!) he really failed Kushina and Minato in raising Naruto and it can’t even be said it was for secrecy since Naruto is the biggest open secrect in Konoha and throughout the series has not much hesitation sharing with others what’s inside of him. Maybe Hiruzen was getting to old and his mind was to deteriorated or something but he really scuffed things up in Konoha and Aron d the ninja world with some of of his poor decisions and hesitancy to implement his authority,

So many great threads. I appreciate all the thought put into the events of the whole timeline. You still left out Orochimaru! Konoha would have a tremendous amount of firepower with all the Uchija's, both Minato and the Third Hokage and Fukaku. Something horrible about Obito killing Shisui is that Obito would have access to the Kotoamatsukami. However, I also believe Shisui would have used his second use of Kotoamatsukami to either beat Obito or to have been set to activate after death so that his body (and eyes) return safely to the Uchiha clan. That way he makes sure Itachi gets his own Mangekyu and Shishui's eyes are not in enemy hands. I would also make that P ain somehow able to disrupt the flying Raijin seals so that every time Minato teleports, he would feel a stab of Nagato's chakra, just so that the battle is more interesting. Love the way both Naruto and Sasuke get their amps at the end. They mirror each other. And Sasuke would have more interesting Magekyu abilities than Amateratsu, given Itachi wouldn't have modified Sasuke's Mangekyu. By the way, Itachi taking on Kabuto seems reasonable given Kabuto wouldn't have as much info on Itachi, and I still give Itachi is the man who draws himself. If there are many Uchijas, and you have Tsunade Senju at your side, I could imagine a side branch where Fugaku tells Tsunade of the Uchija tablet, and what goes on after would be quite a lot of speculation. In short, great video, and full of possibilities, and so I like how you tackled the whole storyline. Please keep it up.

I watched this whole video from start to finish and I LOVED it. Only problem I see is that Minato would moust likely kill Obito in their fight during nine tails attack or he would just telleport to him after that whole deal and kill him then (I feel like 2. option is more likely because there is no one more suitable for tracking Obito and fighting him in whole village then Minato, plus he already tagged Obito and marked him during battle). If he tracks Obito, witch he would since he almost killed his wife, he would no diffed him, afterwards he might fall in depression since it was his pupjl who started a war because Minato himself, fastest shinobi in the world, was not fast enough to save him and Rin. This would create fantastic dinamic between Minato and Nagato down the line (I would say that Nagato would still form akacuki since black zecu is still ploting revival of Madara/Kaguha).

Danzo didn’t have beef with the uchiha. He had beef with them after they had a coup and he figured also that a uchiha not one of them but a uchiha was the reason why the nine tails was released. He killed shisui bc he felt like it would of been a waste and then let the uchiha know the leaf knows about the coup and be force to fight a civil war than a coup

I’ll agree but I’m also thinking that since danzo is old enough to know hashirama and tobirama he would be old enough to know about the senju and uchiha wars and since the senjus breaded in kohona but the the uchihas danzo could think they are gonna try to take over now that the senju are gone and no 1 clan can truly fight against them and since danzo want kohona itself to be number 1 a rouge clan that is not part working with the village like the hyuga could be scary to a governor like danzo. And what’s worse than infighting/civil war? So before it become a problem he would snuff them out. I think Fugaku Uchiha as Hokage would have been awesome as we would see how instrumental the Uchiha were much earlier than in the main timeline. Plus, Sasuke and Naruto are close friends, essentially brothers in everything except blood through the Will of Fire, and I love it! Love your take on this idea, NCHammer 23, and love the pitbull.

I LOVE these "What If..." scenarios you're doing, and I want to drop my two cents on some things that may be a "what if..." to the "what if..." With Fugaku being hokage, and being aware of the effort Minato put in during the 3rd GSW, it would be a lot like (maybe less menacing) Hiruzen and Danzo being Hokage and Shadow Hokage. This would be the pre-Boruto era dynamic duo of all time. Minato may be comfortable with killing, but with Naruto being born, the Akatsuki intel being delivered via Jiraiya/Shisui, I'd bet Minato would more than likely sound Danzo, take over Root (especially with Kushina's help by destroying those burdening seals placed on all Root members), and implement a more effective shadow force that would become Minato's aide. Fugaku would be too busy quelling the tension that the Uchihas still have towards the Leaf, so Minato's acts as Shadow Hokage would benefit him greatly. Since Sasuke is technically older than Naruto, Naruto may be friends with him, but would look up to Sasuke as a rival to be far better than him since he has a Sharingan as his handicap. Even with Itachi alive and training his younger brother, Sasuke would STILL hold some kind of rivalry with Neji since the Hyuuga consider themselves the strongest clan in the Leaf (challenge accepted). As for teams, Naruto may still be teamed up with Sakura, but I think the best fit would be Hinata as their third member, with Sasuke as their team captain. ~Note: if Sasuke is more progessively talented in this timeline, then he SHOULD become a Chuunin/Jonin early enough to run Team 7, not Kakashi. He'd probably run Kurenai's team, since tracking would be more his specialty. With the new Team 7 with three powerful clans, and a massively talented chakra-contolling (and possibly genjutsu-mastering) Sakura, that team would OP AF. There's a lot of possibilities running through this "what if...", and I would truly enjoy collaborating with Hammer on some of these, if given the opportunity.
