I have a whole set of the bronze and rosewood flatware - my ex-husband brought it back from his first Western Pacific (WESTPAC U S Navy) Cruise in the late 50s. He bought it when the ship made a port visit in Hong Kong. Its been packed away for years. You just reminded me how much we enjoyed using it on Holidays. Ill have to get it back out!

That is definitely what I’ve heard before and how these sets made it to the US! Awesome 🤩

Y’all found some great stuff. I listed a Carhartt jacket a couple of weeks ago a little higher than I expected to get and got an offer for what I wanted within 15 minutes of listing.

They are so hot right now. Usually priced too high for me at thrifts or snatched up too quickly by others. Definitely have to just hit at the right time 😊

That face you made with the flatware find!!! Priceless. I sold my Farberware set last Tuesday. Thanks for the tip. I have diplopia so I struggle to see things because they overlap. Searching for Faberware was so frustrating.

Glad you sold your set!! 😊👍🏻👍🏻

Love your vids! So my ebay store was dead in the water with maybe one sale a week. Then I watched one of your flatware videos. Soon thereafter, I got several bags of flatware at an estate sale. I never thought of that before. But check this out, in one of the bags was a little Tiffany sugar cube nip! Yes Tiffany! It sold for $63! And the flatware is selling and pulling traffic to my store too! Thank you for the heavy duty research and info you provide! 😍😍

Great video guys! It’s always interesting to see thrift prices in different parts of the country. No way would a bag of flatware be priced at $3.99 near me in NE Ohio. And very few of the thrifts keep patterns/donations together like that. Usually everything is thrown in small bins, almost impossible to look through, and priced 25 cents a piece…and the pieces are often so filthy I can’t convince myself to dig through them!
@pishposhreselling2 күн бұрын
For sure! I’ve seen it all depending on where I’ve lived. I think it depends on the manager…or how much gets donated at once. Because I’ve seen mixed bags at that goodwill recently. Value Village always bagged the flatware and spread patterns out on purpose so you’d have to buy more. I actually like the ones you can pick through ☺️

How do you take photos of something that has been rolled up? I have a large print that was in a round tube. I tried to lay it out by weighing down the edging which didn't flatten it well at all. Thanks for all the great tips!
@pishposhreselling2 күн бұрын
I probably just would’ve tried what you did- something to hold down the corners…. Or magnets on a metal door if it fits
@1365LucyКүн бұрын
@@pishposhreselling I checked online for magnets and it was surprising how many magnets there are to choose from...clear, colored, metal...round ones, rectangle, etc. I was thinking of putting the print on my fridge door to take the photo but also thought of the metal door in the garage or the power operated garage door...plenty of space on that! And, by using the large door I could have plenty of sunlight because it faces the south! Thanks...appreciate your many tips and advice...I have been selling on Poshmark, Etsy and Ebay...I was selling on Ruby Lane but due to the fee structure change, I closed my account...I LIKED Ruby Lane but wasn't selling enough to justify the flat monthly fee.

Okay either none of the goodwills around here ever have flatware or someone is snatching it all up before I get there. I’ve never seen it at a thrift store anywhere in Houston, TX. Love your finds!!
@pishposhreselling2 күн бұрын
Interesting! Maybe they send it all online?

I love that you guys work as a team. I took my husband with me a few weeks ago. I think he was overwhelmed at VV so I sent him on a mission to find old rock Tshirts for my daughter. I will continue to work on him. Today I'm on a mission to look for good books at Talize 50% off books and media today. Im continuing to search for flatware. I found some old coronation oneida the other day. Do you promote your listings on ebay? I'm not sure i totally understand the fees. I recently sold a figurine and I was thinking I did ok but in the end there wasn't much profit left. Literally only $4.55 cad. But it does feel like it's mostly promoted listings selling.
@dharper72932 күн бұрын
Set a custom rate for promoted listing's! I choose anything between 2 and 4% (2.6% is a personal fave).
@nancykennedy93972 күн бұрын
@dharper7293 i actually did this on some of them. Is there a way to go back and set it on the whole store??
@pishposhreselling2 күн бұрын
Yes we do promote- I just pick a flat % rate like 5% on everything to keep it simpler for myself. Hope you find some good stuff!! 💛💛

Our thrift store charge $40 or more for Carhartt.
@pishposhreselling2 күн бұрын
yes this was a shocker...it was priced at $30 which was fairly low for them. They run 1/2 off clothing sales several days a week so they knew it'd sell for $15.(which is what we paid) It had no size tag but it sold pretty quickly for $70.
@Gorgo800XP2 күн бұрын
I’ve never even seen a Carhartt at our thrifts and I also live in the land of Carhartt. They’re so easy to identify- they must pick them off.

& our bins are $1.89 lb
