Hi nanny which is the best product to use a gel or dry shampoo to try to get some fullness and thin balding hair I haven't tried anything yet I'm more or less gave up on my hair cuz I have such a big bear spot that goes toward the front on my forehead I had to take the back pieces of hair and pull up Robin up here in the front Georgia video today looking forward to the next one some of this came out wrong again have a great weekend and take care

Hi Nanny, it is amazing what products can do in your hair. I have never tried to scrunch my hair, but I think I will give that a try. If you cut layers in the top of your hair it will make your hair look a lot thicker on top and won’t show much of your scalp. It doesn’t have to be short layers, just takeoff the thin ends and stop where your hair starts getting thicker. You can also do that on the length of your hair, and it will thicken it up and hold the curl so much better. The weight makes the difference. Even though you felt this hair style was a fail. I still think it looks good! Much love, Sheila.

Hi, Nanny. My hair is very much like yours. I watched one of your updo videos the other day. I bought combs like yours on Amazon. But now I can’t find that video. I remember your hair was not freshly washed, and the only products you used were dry shampoo and regular hairspray to set your style when you were done. It looked fabulous and I’m eager to try it. I’m a full time caregiver and I’ve already spent an hour searching for the right video. I’m out of time, so I’ll see you another day.

Nanny,, I just want to thank you for your open, honest and delightful channel. At 71: I too deal with thinning hair, and while I wear it up a lot, it can take so many tries to get it where no scalp shows. I always have to check the “rear view”! Arm exhaustion is a real thing🤪 I adore you and respect your courage to be real. The old saying that getting older ain’t for sissies is so true, but having a beautiful, smart woman like you to help is navigate these often choppy waters is a true blessing. Cheers to a wonderful week ahead. Always know you mean so much to so many.❤💄

That’s just how it goes Nanny! That “I just washed my hair and can’t do a thing with it!” is a fact, clean hair just doesn’t work. Plus when you do your hair normally, you’re not thinking about it much, just doing what you do and it works😃 but we do get the gist of it and you are the real thing🥰 it was starting to behave at the end and you are adorable💜

To add manageability & shine: I add a drop or 2 of an oil serum to dry hair after prepping (I use velcro rollers). Based on the 'Blowout Professor', the last step should be a light oil applied to ends & mid shaft. FWIW, I've narrowed it down to Hask's Argan Oil 5 in 1 spray or L'oreal Oil Serum.....each are avail for +/- $7 (Walmart or Ulta).

Happy Labor Day Nanny and Moose. It is easier to understand your hair routine when you show it from, scratch. Thank you! I hope that someday soon I will have the courage to try something new. When you were outside, I heard the blue jay making a cameo…lol. Always wonderful to see Shamu and Ghost. I thought that your hair looked pretty when you were dissatisfied with it. I would have been thrilled to have it! But then I also liked the final result, your scrunched look. You show everyone that there is a variety of things that we can do with our hair and makeup. Holding our arms up is another story. Weakness and pain…oh well! I wish that I had some of that nut and date bread with cream cheese right now. It would go so nicely with a cup of tea. I remember my mother fixing it. My oven no longer works and I miss baking. Everything around me is getting old! I love antiques however I need functioning things to continue to work. I hope that your trip to San Diego went well. Enjoy the cooler weather before the heat returns. Blessings to you both, love, Sharon

I think this was a great video Nanny .. sharing the fact that we have days that are absolute flops with certain things is so helpful ! I have alopecia so my hair is is thinner than yours . It is silver which makes me happy actually. But ? because it is so thin I started wearing wigs about 16 years ago. The good ones are not cheap, but if I didn't have them I would literally never go out .. once I have my make up on and my wig styled I feel good and can face the world. Yes ! that is a great way to make that bread ... I also do that with banana bread .. add more banana and walnuts are also very good with it. I went on a tear and ordered some make up from Amazon ("Elf" ) and Sephora had a sale .. I'm not sure what got into me because I really don't need more make up but watching a few videos along with yours I saw products I didn't know about for the "glow" and had to get some .. so I will blame it on .. videos ? LOL Have a great time this weekend ! Take care ! Joy PS I really like the Aussie products too !

This is a touchy subject for me. I’m 76 and my hair hasn’t turned gray. For about 10 years I’ve had it dyed silver (the pink scalp is less noticeable!) but my stylist thinks it’s damaging my hair. It looks really stupid with all my wrinkles. So I’m always trying to find ways to make it look thicker and lighter. Your videos really help! But I’m jealous of your beautiful, FREE platinum hair!!
