Brian, I was very excited to see you do this. I had watched Killinger's review of the FE8, and was surprised that he was not real keen on it as a splitter. It looks like it's doing a great job as far as I could tell!

@thebradleysoncatbirdhill6849 Good morning Mr John...if history repeats itself, Mr. KILLINGER is not finished with the FE8, his opinion may change or improve over time. The FE6 must be amazing. Both you men have the FE6, and I have questioned you both about it because it looks so good as a splitter. I generally give an axe several thousand swings before stating my opinion, and I generally find the good in the tool. Thank you sir for watching....

You sure made short work of those big notches. I noticed that as you struck them you could hear the wood make different noise and you could tell from the sound when the next strike would split it. I'm sure you like to hear that sound. Very nice giuck work. Be blessed. My friend.

I bet with a good grind, its a great axe for practicing timbersport cutting, definitely would make the comp axe seem light afterwards

@scheelescorvid1597 You are absolutely correct. It scales just over 9 pounds total weight. I have that very thing in mind. I like your thought process and appreciate your viewing and commenting...
