I know he was evil in all in the Clone Wars TV show, but when he and Obi Wan were captured I would have liked to see them talk about Qui-Gon to reminisce on both their good memories of him.

Dooku is an amazing character and I would love to see a novel dedicated to him during his time as a Jedi. This was a great video Alex and it shows that canon and Legends can sometimes merge fairly seamlessly with very little contradiction. Keep up the great work

Both in canon and legends, I can't understand why he joined the Sith after they kill Qui-Gon. I can understand why he fell to the dark side but I don't get why he joined to Darth Sidiuos, the person responsible with the death of his beloved former padawan. I wish Dooku would just fall to the dark side and begin the Clone Wars without joining to the Sith then Sidiuos manipulates this conflict to become the Emperor. Plus the quote join me obi wan and together we will destroy the sith would make more sense. The prequels would be a more dramatic that way. A grief stricken Jedi causing the end of the Republic.

Well I guess he hated how the Jedi council wasn't able to stop the Trade Federation from attacking Naboo to begin with but I prefer your version of the events after that. Anything that makes the separatist have actual agency instead of being always manipulated by Sidious is good in my book.

umutkafadar seeing as the Jedi are aware that the sith kill each other, there is no better way to kill Darth Sideous then to learn the dark side from him and then overpower him. Plus, his hatred of the man responsible for the death of his former padawan could be a source of his power.

Basicly Dooku wanted to remake the Jedi into a group that did stuff to effectivly bring about peace. Dooku was also rather annoyed about the Jedi's failings.

They originally appeared in The Courtship of Princess Leia. The Clone Wars TV show completely changed their whole deal; Asajj Ventress was also completely unrelated to them before TCW changed that too

Out of all the saga, Dooku is not my favorite character but definitely my favorite of the prequels. Then again I was a fan of Christopher Lee even before those films were released. Too bad Dooku did not get more screen time in the third film.

he might not really use angar and hate usually but it's still a sith tradition to bleed a crystal, so he probably used anger and hate and such on rare occasions.

Dark Jedi are a thing in Canon, that's what you would call Kylo Ren, who is NOT a sith at all. The term Dark Jedi is kind of silly, but it just refers to any force user who uses the dark side rather than the light, but doesn't adhere to a strict dogma like that of the Jedi or Sith. Dooku is 100 % a sith lord however, as he is Sidious's apprentice and has a Sith Lord title of Darth Tyranus. Anyone with a Darth in front of their name is most def a Sith.

Not thought of by the writers at the time, but from an in-universe standpoint, it sounds to me like he didn't even know about Qui-Gon's death until some time after it took place, for both Canon and Legends.

I am pretty sure that in star wars the clone wars, we learn that Count Dooku kills Sifo Dyas in order to use his identity to go and commission the creation of the clone army. in your video it sounds as if it was Sifo Dyas how commissioned the army, and Dooku then kills him as some point after. Am I correct or did I miss something?

Resident Potato He probably wouldn't have left. In Attack of the Clones you can tell how much Dooku cared about Qui-Gon. Despite his rebellious nature, Qui-Gon was probably as pure a Jedi as one could be (hence why he was able to return as a ghost), so he probably would have convinced Dooku to stay with the Jedi.

I am glad Thame Cerulean is now non-canon. While Jedi are taught by many masters, the padawan - master apprenticeship seems to be the "higher education" for Jedi. Yoda refers to Dooku as his "old padawan" implying a direct master and apprentice relationship.
