I got lucky and pulled the 6* from the promo code. He’s one of the best champs this year. Having a blast him already. Thanks for Deep dive, always help me get more out of the champs. As a side note, I brought him into AW and he has a bugged interaction with the tactic. When you apply the heal block and he’s in Ionic overcharge his power steal is reversed and he’s just constantly getting power drained. Makes him basically unusable since I could hardly get to my sp1. I made forum post about it but figured I’d mention it to you so someone at Kabam is aware of it.

are you sure it wasn't some other interaction with the character or node? He was tested with the tactic and I've seen plenty of people use him without that complaint.

@@Daddylonglegs93 Yes I tested it against multiple tactic defenders (Manthing, Kushuala, and Northstar) on nodes that wouldn't impact it like tile tile 43. Others have experienced it as well. Also sorry if you see multiple comments. I tried adding a link to the forum post but the comment seems to disappear when i do that.

some friendly feedback for these videos: some background gameplay of what you are talking about would be super helpful for these longer descriptions especially with so many similar sounding abilities, i also understand that is a lot more work and you want to get these out quickly so totally understandable if that’s a choice you are making to not include

It is an insane amount of extra work, but it's also not allowed. The point of these videos is to get them out early, and that means gameplay is still embargoed. Maybe I could get special privileges as an employee? But I haven't asked or wanted to, and I'd rather get these out early when I can

I kinda wish he would lose his ramp when bleed only against skill champions, because there are so many nodes that will bleed you. But I am still very excited for him! I am saving my crystal shards for him 😂

Honeslty sounds like the perfect Enchantress counter. Like you said his Power Steal immunity helps him avoid her "I'm gonna punish you for having immunities" ability but also he will have an easier time removing her Spells. He can punish her Heavy attack and knock her down normally but his Evade can count as an intercept to remove her Orange Spell which i've found to be the hardest one to remove has If the defending Enchantress doesn't play ball and go for your intercepts before throwing her Special 1, its wraps but Nefaria's Parry Evade will make that easier. Also, did he steal Havok's Plasma Build-Up Debuffs??😂

From your perspective as a champion designer, which champs (new or old) do you feel are most over/undervalued and why? Or, which are your personal favorites to use? Side question: the rebalancing posts make it seem like Kabam might be collecting data on champion usage (eg. “we’re happy with how [new champion] is performing in [game mode] in their target matchups”). Is this the case or are decisions based on first-hand experience, either from Kabam employees or the community? If so, is this data collected for all fights and champions, or is it more targeted?

I don't answer questions about favorites as a general rule, sorry. And yes, rebalancing is reliant first and foremost on data from the playerbase, across all game modes and with the ability to differentiate. Personal experience can inform how we look at that data, but we don't rebalance based on anecdotes.

Do you think he can get most bgs fights down without special evade ? Im going to practice it but just wondering incase im in a matchup where im not comfortable parrying a certain special ?

yup, but note the counter-attack has limited range. sometimes you have to follow it up yourself

@@Daddylonglegs93 Gotcha! Main reason I ask is cause when I successfully parry the last hit of a special and evade it the indicator for the energy burst damage doesn't show up unlike when I parry/evade/counter a basic attack.

That's probably because the actual hit part of the counter isn't landing in those cases

@BreadMane I didn’t realize that he said “(new champ wise)” but yeah, science class is busted. I really didn’t want another BG science attacker because I didn’t like how all of my mystic defenders are useless because of science champions. But I will allow count nefaria because he looks fun to play, has consistent control, and he has a cape and looks badass which all of them the science class lacks.
