In the first numbers round, the solutions for one either side are: 75 + 1 = 76 76 x 9 = 684 684 + 100 = 784 50 / 25 = 2 784 - 2 = 782 100 x 75 = 7500 7500 + 50 = 7550 9 + 1 = 10 7550 / 10 = 755 755 + 25 = 780 In the second numbers round, I appreciated Anne-Marie's snark. I don't think _anyone_ there likes Anne Robinson on this show. Anyway, this target could be factored (41 x 7 x 2 = 574) and the numbers fell out very nicely for it: 25 + 10 + 6 = 41 9 + 5 = 14 41 x 14 = 574 In the third numbers round, it was a very easy target, but it's worth pointing out how you can reach it without using either of the small numbers at all with a standard four-large technique: 100 - 75 = 25 25 x 25 = 625 625 + 50 = 675 In the final numbers round, I saw both contestants' solutions, but also had this alternative way of making 33: 10 x 10 = 100 100 / 4 = 25 25 + 8 = 33 33 x 25 = 825 825 + 4 = 829

The first round 781, with one above, {[(75 + 1) × 9] + 100} - (50 / 25) = 684 + 100 - 2 = 782.
