I would say the opposite. I think both Billie and Finneas know deep down that Billie's success depended 100% on Finneas. It really goes back to Ocean Eyes - "Finneas: Hey Billie, I wrote this song for my band, but I think it would be better if you sang it (paraphrased)." Thirteen-year-old Billie, "OK". I'm not trying to take ANYTHING away from Billie - I am a superfan - but I also recognize she wouldn't be where she is without Finneas... and he wouldn't be here without her. But Finneas definitely sparked her success...

If Billie hadn't sung that song instead, they both would have likely never blown up. He had already put out songs, Billie hadn't, so the fact that the song that blew up was of billie singing says a lot. At the same time if he had never made the song and offered it to Billie, Billie may have never blown up either cause the song was just that good.
