Scott Derrickson said that Doctor Strange will have over 1 HOUR of the movies formatted for IMAX (1:43:1 aspect ratio!), and he said that the movie will push the boundaries of 3D, to the point where it's part of the story. That scene in particular with Superman talking to Perry White over the phone was captured perfectly. Also seeing Tyler paying Homage to Chris Reeve's Clark Kent was great. Also the premiere airing on Oct 10th, 2016 is when Chris Reeve passed away around Oct 10th, 2004.

It's about time Agents of SHIELD got a review! To Robert: Imagine if during DS9 there was an episode where Worf got an invite from Picard, who cameos on the show, to take up his old position of Tactical Officer and Chief of Security aboard the newly built Enterprise-E. The entire episode Worf debates it, and the crew of DS9 encourages him to go, because they know his true love lies there, but in the end Worf stays, citing honor/duty, w/e. This is a tie-in that reveals to the audience a new Enterprise is coming in the movie First Contact. That is what Agents of SHIELD is. It's a weekly small-story show that exists within the fantastic MCU. The only issue is that so far, nothing within the show has had any kind of impact on the films. That might change with SHIELD potentially going public this season. To Jon: Of course the non-action parts of the show seem boring, because you have nothing invested into the non-action characters. To David: Go back and watch Season 2 and Season 3. They're good. Just remember, to everyone, Agents of SHIELD is about the AGENTS who work for SHIELD. Therefor, superheroes should come and go within the storylines of the show, while the human agents work around the chaos.

Trustworthy Dr Torgo IMO it should have just been an anthology film in the vein of Heavy Metal/Animatrix. Just a bunch of cool ass action shorts directed by Snyder. I could have done without the brothel stuff honestly.

PoetSole If it can be done in the comics it can be done in the films. Since when has "humanizing" characters in film become impossible? Every film ever made or produced has been made or produced by a human (that I know of LOL) so that logic doesn't fly with me. The key is taking these elements from the source and using it in a way that isn't hokey or dated. Moments of humanity would go a long way toward making these characters relatable.

This latest episode definitely teased the continuity to Doctor Strange. After reading the collider article they teased Darkholde storyline where it's basically a spellbook used buy Strange to vanquish vampires which didn't work and of course there is more to the story.

I disliked the extended BvS even more than I disliked the theatrical, because I wasnt confused by the story beats in the theatrical. So the extra footage didnt fix anything for me, it just made the movie longer and more ponderous.

we are all entitled to our own opinions. I certainly respect other people's opinions all film is subjective. I I thought Batman v Superman the theatrical version was good I remember giving it a three and a half out of 5 but the Ultimate Edition man I like that version a lot more I give that one a four and a half out of 5.

Just pay attention when you watch the movie. Literally everything in the Ultimate cut is explained either in dialogue or someone's actions later on.

The key differences is that the extended cut shows that that idiotic aspect in the theatrical: why are they blaming superman for people being shot; there was a bit more there but the kicker was the black lady was paid to lie to congress that she saw superman do it. Then when they said ppl batman catches and end up in jail, other criminals kill them if they have a bat brand. Why? that was idiotic. why would criminals do that. The extended explains that lex was paying guards to have those people kill, to blame batman. Act 3 is still a mess though. can't stand act 3 in either and every time i see the extended, i hate act 3 more and more...

I'd love to have a Collider TV/Heroes Mashup once a week. David Griffin is a sweaty, mabye Sinead & Macuga. Just focus on the superhero/comic/sci-fi of TV. Between the CW DC universe, Marvel/Netflix shows, Star Trek Discovery, Legion on FX, Runaways, Cloak and Dagger, Postal, Preacher, Krypton they would have so much shit to cover.

Not seeing a lot of love for Agents of SHIELD in the comments and I just want to say I love the show. I think Ghost Rider is a weird addition but so far it's been working for me. They've added a more supernatural element to the show and with only two episodes it's working so far. In the first season they tried a more faithful SHIELD show that was more Spy oriented and no one seemed to enjoy it. So they added inhumans and became a more x-men type show and it's been working very well. Honestly I think SHIELD is better than Arrow and Supergirl and Legends. I never felt like it was hiding behind it's comic roots, but that's just me. I think SHIELD has gotten better every season.

I did a paper in my Ancient Historians class contrasting the historical account of the 300 by Herodotus to the film adaptation of the 300. The film helps give the reader a visual reference for studying aspects of the history. Was fun.

I like that this Superman has a little bit more personality than the movie version, an is not serious all the time it's not a knock against Henry Cavil's portrayal, I just hope with Superman's death an rebirth that they can work towards that in future DC movies.

Burnett's thoughts on Dr Strange's role as transport are both insightful & eloquent. A Human/Alternate Alcubierre Warp Drive or a Wormhole Stabilizer like The Founders did in ST-DS9 seems logical (The dangerous KCardasians were in Hollywood not the Dominion lololol.) use for Dr. Strange he may also be able to locate people & items. Great Show guys.

300 was quite revolutionary. Everybody was saying you have to see this in theater. #1 R Rated movie of the year, still number 7 R rated opening of all time. For better or worse (I lean towards worse just because the people that tried to copy it couldn't pull it off and actually disservices the style) 300 influenced so many actions scenes in the years to come and even to this day. This was especially true in TV, although, as aforementioned, they couldn't do it nearly as well.

If I remember correctly, during infinity gauntlet, Dr. Strange teleported all the heroes to Thanos' domain for battle and cast a spell allowing them to breathe in space. He also was to bring back any combatant that got too injured to continue the fight.

Robert, that's the point with 300. Frank Miller had the task to reinvent this larger than life story and he chose to use spartan glorification aesthetic in order to do so. It's no coincidence that the movie had narration from Dillios - the solider who had the task to "Tell a great story about what happend".

Basically since Arrow started, I've wanted it to end with Batman showing up to recruit Green Arrow into the League, and there have been a few nods to Batman already, apart from the recent Gotham mention in the Supergirl promo : In LoT, Rip says he saw "Men of steel die, and dark knights fall", and in The Flash, the newspaper Wells/Thawne was keeping had an article talking about a Queen Inc/Wayne Tech merger.

Most fans are disappointed with the casting since they didn't go with Tom Welling but Smallvile is a completely different continuity and wouldn't make sense with the Arrowverse. We had a completely different Green Arrow on that show so it just doesn't work. And as for the people who keep whining and complaining that they didn't cast Tom Welling, instead being pretentious fanboys give the man a chance. I love Tyler Hoechiln and I think he's a fantastic choice. I'm very excited about this! Obviously this is a very different character from Derek but Tyler is so damn talented and I know he can nail it. And I'm sure my fellow Teen Wolf fans would agree with me. Not the biggest fan of the costume though. Lol.

Dr. Strange I'm so down for. Diehard fan of the character. Favorite superhero. The movie looks amazing. Strange in Infinity War is no surprise. He's a big player in a lot of big events within Marvel comics. He serves as the transportation means for the Avengers, warping them to different areas, realms etc. Also his expertise will be really cool as Strange is a powerhouse. And with Thor, Hulk and Captain Marvel; the Avengers are going to need everything to battle Thanos. That said, I know this might be a bit on the nose, but I really want Tony Stark to crack a sherlock joke. Maybe, Strange is investigating something and Stark shows up and says something like "Step aside Sherlock",. That would make my day.

I liked Schnepp's Character Synopsis of Mr. Siniter. (That's what it is, it's a Character Synonpsis & it rocks reminds me of ComicBook Girl 19, Rob Explains, NerdSync & Stupendous Wave. I like this I want more.
