Thank you SO much for this video! I am making my first ever counted cross stitch project with the company Janlynn and thought I could do it just with the provided directions but when I opened it I was so confused! Your videos made it make so much more sense!

Thank you for this. I was looking into how to do a basic alphabet (I'm a complete newbie) and this definitely helped me!

Oh my. Constantly looking back and forth on this...wow... do you just keep moving the hoop around if the picture is larger.? Or can you buy rectangular border and tack the edges on it?

@manar fathy - the size of cloth you choose will determine the size of your finished design. This is going to seem odd, but the smaller the numer (such as size 11) the larger the finished design. The larger the number (such as size 18) the smaller the finished design will be. The number relates to how many squares per inch. Hope this helps!

I am getting started. I have pulled 2 strands from the thread. I've been watching your video, part 1 and part 11...but I cannot tell if you are then taking the 2 strands and threading through the needle and then pulling both ends together which is really working with 4 strands. or are you just pulling through the eye of the needle, and working with just two stands at each square...can anyone tell me?

+Deborah Rockman I am only stitching with two strands at a time. Thanks for watching!!

The instructions call for pieces of floss to be cut into 18" sections, is there a reason you didn't do that? or is it that the floss only has to be cut when your blending?

Love the pace of your videos!! Very helpful. Just wish the quality of the video was better. It's often not in focus and sometimes difficult to follow :( I'm a new cross-stitcher and find your videos very informative!

Kimmy Stecher Thank you. These were earlier videos that I filmed with an old digital camera. It was all I had, so I did my best with it. My filming set up improved in time and as funds allowed. I appreciate you watching and commenting!

Hey Jeannine. I totally can understand that. It's all trial and error sometimes in the beginning and a learning process ;) I really do love your approach and how clearly you describe all the steps. Looking forward to more cross stitch videos in the future! Have a blessed day!

I know this was a while ago but your fabric is wrong on your hoop there is a lip in the hoop that goes up under the fabric that locks it on the hoop thanks

Hi Katie! It doesn't matter if it's late, I appreciate your keen eye! Yes I did have the hoop on backwards, I caught the mistake later but alas the video was already filmed, LOL, Oh well! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
