I was on my bicycle and it was cold and my Achilles started throbbing again (inflamed one for 4 yrs) through my boots. Stopped and sat down on a bench and told my brain I was safe and nothing was wrong and so on & heard your voice in my head. Back on my bike and continued the journey and pain was gone!!! Freedom

Boom - great example how when you respond to symptoms with calm and clarity that we are okay, the brain can listen.

Hi Dan, great you were able to sit outside for fresh air today! I always remember your 4 C’s Clarity it is TMS/PDP and nothing else, Confidence I’m not BROKEN I’m OK so I can start doing things again, Consistency not freaking out and an hour later giving calm reassurance, Calm staying this way as much as possible so scared misinformed subconscious Brain will one day get the message! I’m actually OK and Safe! We need to proactively show/teach our Brains that there is nothing wrong with us physically, emotionally, mentally! This is is the WAY FORWARD! ❤️

Hi Dan. I do hope you get this message. Please don’t delay publishing your book. Like me, you’re probably a perfectionist and waiting to write the perfect book. But that book doesn’t exist. I can tell from your videos that you will write an excellent book that will put you on the map as an author and will be of so much help to the TMS community. So please get it published by mid 2023. I will return the compliment and suggest you borrow my confidence in you. Thanks to you and Doctor Sano,I returned to table tennis today after virtually being house bound for some 3 years. My passion is guitar,but have only been able to play laying propped up on the bed. I’m now able to play the guitar sitting up. I can’t thank you enough. With so much knowledge,insight and wisdom,I’m convinced there is more than one book inside you. So no more procrastination. Get that book published and start on the next one. Kind regards. Geoff (from the UK)

Wow great one Dan! So glad you went over this concept of countering b/c I have found that that used to happen to me: exactly what you explained about staying calm but not doing anything else. I felt like I was just “accepting” the symptoms and they were just there .. nothing shifted, once I started to “counter” those moments when I got the sensation and talked to my brain that there was nothing wrong and I am ok, there’s “nothing wrong in x-y-z” body part.. it made a big difference!
@joannwhite9037

I had the same realization…. The confirm part came first…”Well, of course I’m having fewer sensations, it’s TMS… Thers nothing wrong with my x~y~z……. The counter part came second…. And it is becoming my default mode….. I calmly and quickly tell my brain SHHHHHH….. breathe… don’t go down that path… you know what is going on… you’re safe, you’ve got this. The shift is happening. My subconscious brain is beginning to listen … fewer symptoms…. More confirming…. It’s been 2 years…. Never give up …. Consistently give your brain messages and actions of safety.

Day before my overdue colonoscopy. Liquid diet and I'm so hungry, shaky etc & the overthinking way high. Fearful I can't hold out not eating something solid. The crap food I've had to consume the last few days has upset my gut. Still got the meds to take 🙄😂🚾Somehow got in my car, bit of sunshine and blue skies and freezing. Drove to the park and took a short walk. Now sat in my car listening, very apt video, thank you. I know it's PDP and am trying my best to convince my brain everything is going to be fine. Roll on this time tomorrow 😊

Hope all goes well with your procedure. Please try to hold out and follow the prescribed pre-op ‘diet’. I know it’s gross and makes your blood sugars fluctuate all over the place, but to get a good view with the scope it’s a necessary evil. Enjoy your meal afterwards! 😊

I’m having such a bad few days Dan. I thought I had reached full belief - and I have with the TMJ, tinnitus, blurred vision, gastroperisis, GERD, chest pains, burning arms, upper back burning and shoulder pain. I’m aware that’s all stress illness, and they don’t bother me much. I’m on pregablin a nerve tablet for the original first pain five years ago which was the burning in lower back, hips, both legs and soles of feet. Since I went on a high dose of that the leg pains and burning feet went to about 1/10. I was happy and I was even getting back to the gym. Because I’d reached full belief and the Pregwblin was causing weight gain I decided to go from 150mg to 100 the past few weeks down from 125 to 100 the past 3. And my burning feet and legs/back pain is back. I don’t know how to keep my belief because I was shown I have a large tarlov cyst on my spinal cord when the pain began. I haven’t read anything about anyone having tarlov cysts in the sacrum in the tms community. The symptoms of the cyst match mine perfectly, and there’s even a tarlov cyst foundation website with people who have the same size cyst as me in the same area - with the same symptoms as me who are in wheelchairs and were only better by surgery. I can’t afford 28,000 surgery, and I don’t want surgery because so much could go wrong, and if it’s tms it would be a waste of time anyway. I thought I had full belief but I never had moments of pain free legs and feet ect when distracted or having fun, and the pregablin stopping the pain makes me believe it’s physical. I don’t know what to do anymore. I can’t sleep for the pain. Walking has become excruciating again. Tried somatic tracking and indifference but I don’t know how when the pain level is unbelievable. I’m so fed up :( I just want a normal life

@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
The brains job is to keep us safe and alive. It is always looking out for danger. The brain can become more and more sensitive due to life events. There is nothing wrong with your brain or nervous system. It is working flawlessly. It's just sounding a false alarm. We can teach the brain to turn off the alarm.
