Yep, had all of those and more! Words coming out wrong when speaking. Gurgling in the tummy. Tunnel vision and hard to turn your neck. Blurry vision like a smokescreen. Pins and needles in my toes. Body jolts. Itching in the legs. Shooting pains in the body. Difficulty getting to sleep. Burning tip of the tongue. Hot flushes / shivers. The feeling that something bad is about to happen. Thoughts of negativity and doom. Not being able to stand for a length of time when someone is talking to me. Difficulty with eye contact for long periods of time. Thoughts that other people think you look ill. Uncomfortable in large crowds or bust traffic. Afraid something is going to happen to you while in the bath or shower (feeling vulnerable). Afraid to be on your own incase something happens.

I lost my husband to cancer a little over a year ago and the anxiety I felt as a caregiver has worsen since his death. I feel shortness of breath, jaw clinching, back pain ( probably due to a lack of exercise and having a desk job ), brain fog, constant ringing in the ears that drives me crazy, tiredness and a lack of energy and motivation to do anything. I am on medication for anxiety and depression and it helps a little. I just wish i could get back to my normal self and no longer feel like I am going to die at any second.

Hi again Dennis ☺️ I really resonated a lot with some of the symptoms you mentioned in the video, especially vertigo and jelly legs. Vertigo was actually one of my first anxiety symptoms and still is along with a feeling that the floor is made or marshmallow when I walk. Thankfully, I’ve trained myself to realise these as just sensations and not fact but they sure aren’t fun to feel. I also clench my jaw and tend to actually hold my breath rather than hyperventilate when panicked. Another couple of behaviours I’m trying to “train away”. I was having a good deal of heart palpitations or whatever a few years back, and it was getting really scary at times. Sometimes coterminable with actual panic or anxiety attacks. They usually didn't last very long, though. That was one major clue that indeed, it was anxiety. The first time I recall ever having those was back in the late 90s/early 2000s or so, I was living in NYC at the time. My mom even brought me over to St. Francis Hospital on LI which is a heart specialist center, they ran me through every bloody test, machine, for an hour or two, and they found ZERO wrong with my heart! LOl Of course. This was a good 25 years now, or more. But even now i have other minor health issues, but my heart is apparently still 100 per cent in great shape! Amazing. I never had like horrible pressure, but definitely sometimes the palps, and some phantom pains or stinging, that appears to never be serious, ever. I"m convinced it's mostly from reflux or other causes, heartburn, and/or directly from anxiety or panic. I never felt unwell from the palpitations, they are more like super scary in a very short duration. I could swear I had some of those again briefly at a mall about two months ago here on LI NY, just being out shopping or having had a meal as well, walking around, and it briefly scared the crap out of me. Then I sat down, listened to my music on headphones, relaxed and meditated and cleared my mind, breathed, as I've learned to often do, and these feelings passed. I was able to walk to my car and go home and then I was ok. I find what triggers this is usually rumination, anger, worry, worry about future nebulous events, health anxiety, being alone, etc. Worry about something you have to do later in the day? Whatever.

Good stuff from Anxiety guys show. I appreciate it.. Journal entry:my heart doesn't thump from anxiety, I've got a 39 bpm resting pulse... but rather, there is this recurring thought (stuck in my head) and its like an electric shock that keeps trying to wake me up... I feel it in my heart, and in my wrist as if someone were trying to take my pulse.. I understand that it is my own subconscious thoughts not letting me just "be" present..... so rather than just being present, much of my day, and just chilling.... it's the inner motivator, the subconscious type A personality that always wants more out of me...never good enough,, not enough, could have tried harder, could have done better, keep working on it and one day I will finally be happy(no I won't)....so Im aware that I and my body wants to sit and be peaceful... and the inner voice that just won't quit.. literally won't quit... does more harm than good to be motivated and working hard on the wrong thing at the wrong time... its like having a drill sergeant on your shoulder yelling at you to "carpe diem" when what it is that needs doing isnt really in your control anyway... so the better part of me sits back and my inner drill sarge that just won't back down. then the adrenal zaps the heart after the thought creeps in.. but the hearts like,, nope...not worth the effort... non bene..

I had 7 years non-stop panic attacks, it’s a living hell and I get laughed a lot by people, saying I deserved etc….One day, I didn’t care about people feelings or about my own panick att. And my panick att were completely gone by age 26, till this day i don’t have any panick att at all….What scares me is, when my empathy levels, emotions return to normal that I can feel panick att again…..Panick att is more common when you come from severe childhood trauma, that’s what makes sense more. At age 19 it triggered my anxiety for 7 years….It was living hell but I am use to it if I get them again. Even I get them again, I won’t care at all, no fear left. I think it triggered my personality, that’s what I found out. I became, uncaring, cold person, lack empathy. Even my old friends told me me ‘’what happend to you?’’ You’re so different….I am 34 now. I am aware panick att changed my personality completely….

This can actually become a self-fulfilling scenario. A lot of my anxiety started happening around the late 90s to early 2000s, for various reasons, and when I was living in NYC. I grew up on LI NY, a much more "laid back" environment. Anyway, one time I was just hanging out at a friend's bar/restaurant on the LES, she'd worked there for a few years and I often hung out there for Happy Hour or pre going out clubbing down there, St Marks Place. Generally I felt comfortable there. One night I recall sitting there meeting a friend of a friend, some guy I'd never met before, we were just sitting at a table talking, having a drink, but he seemed to sense that I was particularly anxious, or remarked that he thought my anxiety level was high, but, I wasn't in fact, feeling that anxious beforehand. He was kind of staring at me, and making me FEEL more anxious all of a sudden, because now I felt like, on the spot, as it were, under a microscope. Also, nobody in that bar, even, after two years of hanging out there, and some nearby nightclubs, had ever remarked such a thing to me! anxiety or not. So, sometimes people's reactions or their own issues, can trigger your own, even when five second before, you weren't feeling anxiety. My friend Jackie that worked there, noted I liked to talk a lot, and was sometimes very animated, but so what? She never put me on the spot like this guy did.
@thiscorrosion9004 ай бұрын
P.S. Of course sometimes people get social anxiety and they may not even be that aware of it, or they don't even know why they get it. I'ts more like generalized social anxiety, sometimes. Sometimes people can be hypercritical. I think overthinking your own reactions can be counterproductive.
