@@BobMarley-wh4sb it's just a drill which means this is not what it would look like in a real fight but when you do this 50 thousand times in repetition and mastered it to the point where you can now apply it to a real fight you will see how it can work but it's not going to look as pretty as this.

@@BobMarley-wh4sb The whole aspect of martial arts? What would that be? Just because our only examples in the street on KZbin demonstrate mindless chain punching doesn't mean a different approach with the techniques in WC can't be applied in the streets. The practice merely needs to incorporate more circular striking to complete realistic defense.

Never thought to use some light protections (head, neck, upper body, etc.) to teach and train all the techniques as actually intended? I think that could be a huge advancement toward a real understanding of what really is a street fight, that we all hope never happens, but it is important to be ready to face to...

We sometimes dont read the description or the words in the video. Myself included. Though I did mention that it was a beginners video. Learned Some Wing Chun from a friend and his friend. Sticking hands is fun. Practiced the first form many many times. Originally trained in Wado Ryu Karate as a teenager. Some Krav Maga, though the instructor cared not for the students safety in Krav Maga.

No feetwork? No one stays in the same place in a fight. Yes it is a beginners leason. Footwork is very important.

This pak sau seems sloppy. Slow it down. Training him to chase hands instead of feeling whether the center is open. Not trolling, honest critique.

I have seen wing chun practice in Latinoamérica . And it looks very diferent to this bulshido. I mean you can see real guards , actual boxing strikes a lot of savate like kicks , this looka like children playing patti cake

@Aidan Fisher You block 100 percent of the punches your opponent does not throw. One of the guys in the video has been in a lot of fights. He is happier not having to fight since it is more useful to us all to help each other.
@nerlind4 жыл бұрын
@Aidan Fisher One of most common themes in martial training videos and so on is how would I protect myself in a dangerous situation. That goes to show that we all want to be safe. Getting into a fight is not safe because of its unpredictable nature. So not fighting is much more effective in keeping all of us safe.

@@BobMarley-wh4sb That's not accurate at all. Boxing is trained for the hands in mma, except boxing doesn't make as much sense with 4oz gloves or bare knuckle. WC is basically street boxing for the hands which inherently uses different limb structures to parry and block as they are more effective in intercepting strikes. Of course it won't look this pretty cus these are simple drills to improve technique and muscle memory for reaction.

I think this will only work against any fighter if he will combine other form of martial arts to it. Also, quick footwork, distance and angle of entry is important. Right?
